My dream when I get old has always been to pass my knowledge and belongings onto the next generation. But it doesn't look like I'll ever get married or have kids, so there won't be a next generation.

So what should my new dream be? I can forget about ever retiring too, I won't be able to since I'll have no one to care for me.

You can still pass it onto the next generation, just find some lonely kids who don’t have anyone to look up to.

Do you want to for its own sake, or only care because you want a legacy? It's really not that hard to do. How old are you?

If it wasn't hard, 61% of the adult population in the US wouldn't be lonely. There wouldn't be a loneliness epidemic if it was easy
