Anyone know I can stop wasting my free time browsing random shit on the internet and instead spend it on productive stuff like reading books or programming? I become empty when I only do productive stuff and feel like my life is meaningless because at the end of the day even if you try really hard at something and give up on all the fun things you do it doesn't mean you'll succeed in your endeavor.

read books that are gripping and program things that are fun, obviously. you'll never ever get yourself to do something by always thinking of it as "having to eat the vegetables" you do it because it is fun

Why bother? Genuinely. There's no secret reward for good behaviour or anything.

You will succeed eventually but only if you keep trying. It sounds like you are just giving up too early.

Well I need to change my field of work because the current one pays like shit and its a dead end pathway and secondly l've got to stop staying up so late watching random shit on the internet.

holy shit you mean by printing out the internet on paper then reading it is productive?

You don't have to. I program for a living, read classic literature, browse random shit on the internet, and play video games.

Well I'm not you I'm me and I have a time management issue. Only way to fix it is to completely focus on productive stuff.
