How would you go about building a social life as a 29 year old male that just moved to a small town (50k people)? There's 0 organized groups from what I see. Moved here since rent is cheap (I wfh) and my parents live a block away.

>>33688104There's a community college here, so not sure it applies to the bar scene. Most girls go to school here 18-20, then leave to the university a couple hours away. I tried all the bars and it's just chicks in their 30s at best. Everyone is in cliques that seem to frequent a couple times a week after work. Mostly manual labor people or military.>Living that close to your parents is going to be pussy repellentwhy? I have my own 2 bed, 2 bath. My family is just a 10 min walk away is all.
>>33688071Looks like you discovered why the rent is cheap.Enjoy the next year of solitude
>>33688218Do you advise anything differently? Idk if a social life is really worth spending twice in rent and seeing my family less often. So far to cope I just book a trip a few times a year for a week and just socialize 24/7 in the new location for fun/memories.
>>33688071Good luck but it's probably over for you. Unless you want to be the founder of a group and try and get people to join it?
>>33688741Is it not over for others? Occasionally I'll reach out to my old college buddies and seems they stopped all social circles once they got married/working and focused on their kids or career.
