It's always about having to finish my classes despite knowing I already graduated
Usually I'm not doing very well
What does this mean and how do I stop having these dreams?

I'm 30 and still have these dreams, either undergrad or high school classes. Maybe they'll stop once my life gets better

Me too, OP.
I still get those dreams at 34 YO now.
And the other variation is, im at my old HS or College campus and I keep looping around, inside the building. Not sure where I am supposed to go.

It basically means you feel unfulfilled in life. What exactly is up to you to find out…

The single most common nightmare in the Western world is running through the halls of your high school to get to an exam you haven't prepared for.

It's analyzed in psych textbooks. It's an expression of freefloating anxiety. You are worried about something and your brain reaches back to the most anxious period in your life to find the symbolic vocabulary to deal with it

Hmm...until your post, I forgot I used to have these.
I had these dreams up until around 23 or so.
They involved missing a course so I was short one course for graduation or I missed a couple days of important finals.
I think it is unresolved anxiety about entering adulthood.
I didn't have a lot of direction after graduating because I made high school my entire world.
Once I started self actualizing and adulting away from the constraints of being a student, the dreams went away. Ie got my own place, started a business, had to pay bills.
>>
I also get these very rarely at 28, i'm usually just wandering around in them, trying to interact with people i remember. on the rare occasion i beat someone up in the dream.

i wonder what jung would make of this
