Right now I'm stuck at a crossroads. I'm working a full time job at a warehouse and I'm doing college part time, and I can't do both. The classes are online but I have to go in for testing and the schedule for that is insanely tight. The job leaves me tired and does for the day and I feel like I need the weekend just to recover, but I need to do school. I could go back to my old part time job, I know they'd have me back. I just don't know what to do. I'm going to college for a CS degree, do you need one to get an IT or programing job? What should I do? Should I just quit college?

POWER THROUGH.

You need to tell yourself, fuck comfort like an athlete would. The football players at your college say fuck comfort everyday. They know comfort can kill as much as an injury and it will kill you too. It's killing you right now.

fuck college and enlistmaxx.
>>
You know what your comfort is like in these situations? It is like a delicious piece of cake with nails and glass in it. Stop eatting that cake.

I'm 25, I feel like that's too old.
>>33698497
I'm just not like that. I'll spiral and crash out with this level of stress, I kinda already am.
>>
>>33698517
>25 too old
No, 28 is too old and even then with army and Navy it is 35.
>spiral and crash out
You are like that because you've made a mistake a lot of us autistic don't make that we warned you a lot about, which is talking yourself out of doing things. You need to stop talking and start doing. I'm not afraid of stress. I don't wait for the perfect moment either.
>>

Let me tell you who you are supposed to be and who you are not. You notice your collegue who is taking extra care to get the notes right and is quiet, that is who you need to be. The other guy who shows up and is like, "this shit is easy." and just talks about sex the entire class with his friends is who you do not want to be. Your professor is going to humiliate you everytime you get closer to the arrogant guy compared to the studious one.
>>
>>33698590
The classes are online. But I'm quiet in person and I always show up on time, when I have somewhere to be.

>>
>>33698543
that's stupid, in the air force i knew like 3 guys who where fathers in their late 30s and early 40s that were in my training squadron

>Studying part time and working full time
Ooof I've been in your shoes before, so I can understand how tough it is. Here's my advice:

1) Make your degree your priority and arrange/schedule your job around it

2) If you're feeling burned out, it's okay to quit your current job and take a break for a month or two to focus on your study

3) Find a less tiring job, one that doesn't make you exhausted at the end of the day so that you still have energy to study and do your assignments, preferably one that allows you to work remotely. You say you study CS, so get an entry level IT support job or something similar, that way you'll gain relevant working experience in your field

Hope this helps, good luck mate :)

>1) Make your degree your priority and arrange/schedule your job around it
I can't adjust my schedule. If they offer part time I'll take it though.
>2) If you're feeling burned out, it's okay to quit your current job and take a break for a month or two to focus on your study
I need money though. Maybe after a month, but I may already be effed by then.

They all want people with degrees though. Warehouse work seems to be the highest paying stuff available to me.

you tel aviv people are getting desperate huh?

>I can't adjust my schedule. If they offer part time I'll take it though.
Let's say your classes are in the weekends, u can try to talk with your boss to arrange your schedule so that u work mon to fri. But this is more about your future job. Your current warehouse job is too tiring, quit that.

>I need money though. Maybe after a month, but I may already be effed by then
What about your parents? Can't they support you for a bit? And did you apply for any student loans or financial ads?

>They all want people with degrees though. Warehouse work seems to be the highest paying stuff available to me.
Ok, what about just a normal customer service or telesales job? I've worked that while studying part time, so technically i didn't even have a degree yet.

>What about your parents? Can't they support you for a bit? And did you apply for any student loans or financial ads?
I mean I could make it by, but it would suck. Also my parents would be pissed if I quit my job.
>Ok, what about just a normal customer service or telesales job? I've worked that while studying part time, so technically i didn't even have a degree yet.
I'm really shit at talking to people. No way in hell would I get hired for something like that. I also don't really like talking to strangers irl.

Tell them you got laid off or something, and that you're currently looking for another job. Or just go straight back to that old part time job.

>I'm really shit at talking to people. No way in hell would I get hired for something like that. I also don't really like talking to strangers irl.
Find those jobs where you communicate via live chat and tickets. Also, it's time you learn to step out of your comfort zone. You're working and studying at the same time, this is way harder than talking to strangers. I'm an introvert myself too.

I don't like lying. But we'll see.
>Find those jobs where you communicate via live chat and tickets.
Not sure there are many of those in my area, but I'll keep an eye out. Thank you.

If you only have a semester left you can probably power through.
But realistically you cant do a full time job and college at the same time.
I had a work at home job while doing online school and still had to take a break from work as the semester neared an end, which cost me money.
Why can't you just do the warehouse job a couple days a week? Either the warehouse needs people so bad they will to it or they won't.
And your education should come first because that is your future.

I'm getting a job doing business meetings for the government soon, so that wouldn't be a worry of mine as of now. I essentially doomscrolled and found a job that doesn't mind my mental insanity which is business analytics. It is finally a job where I don't have to make friends and can just get through based on performance.

Bud

you need performance enhancing substances

With new tools? Listen pajeets, your universities are offering courses in using AI and programming AI. Take those courses and you should be golden in the market. Yeah a chainsaw beats an axe, but who the hell knows how to use a chainsaw?

What do you want your life to look like in 10 years? Which path will get you there?
>>
>>33698464
>The classes are online
That does not sound like a real college that will land you a actual job.
>>
>>33701236
Though, it could be a state university offering online classes?
>>
>>33701265
Would still result in a meme degree at best. Social networking in your field of choice is an important part of college as well.
>>
Everyone else in this thread giving you advice is retarded. Higher education is the only way to ensure your future with no risks, if you can't commit to it then go into a strategically vital industry like mining or the merchant marine, you'll maybe (probably) die but you won't be a GI.
>>
>>33701236
It's a community college.
>>
>>33700552
I have like 4 semesters left.
