Former NEET i got my first job at 28 YO.It's not a bad job as i work with computers all day.I live in one of the poor countries in europe and after the first year of working it just hit me i was only ave 5K to my name.I only spent around 3k in frivolous spending (pc, monitors and a few other electronics, wont change them for a while).Rest went in rent, medicine and food, never went to vacation and never went out to party as i am a complete loner. My parents also covered a few car bills and realistically speaking if i was completely alone i would probably end with 3.5/4k max of saving. How am i supposed to live like this?If there is ever an emergency i am basically done for no?I am not a NEET anymore but i always have to rely on my parents.Should i ask for a raise? My contract last for 1.5 more years and after that i get automatically a permanent contract (this is how it work in my country).Am i doomed? i thought neeting was bad but im basically slaving 45 hours/week for nothing . I am considering trying to look for a job close to my parents because that would save me 8.5k/year (if not more). But changing job after 1 year would look bad and i am not even sure my profile is in demand right now. What should i do?
>>33730062Better to live in Kosovo or Belarus or wherever than Chicago or NY desu
>>33730062If your family is tolerable then there's no harm, and several advantages, to live with them while continuing to work. It would allow you to save a lot more towards buying your own apartment or house, no matter how humble - and you should frame it as such to them. With your own place you might then work towards buying a second property that is a bit better and rent out the first. That is an example of having a long-term plan. All this makes you better marriage material in a few years.

>>33730237At least your nation is intact.
>>33730210I forgot to mention that the car is another, big money drain that you can get rid of if you rearrange living and working locations. You might get to work with an e-bike or public transit while saving even more.
>>33730210>and you should frame it as such to themI should further add that family is (or should be) a team effort. They brought you into the world, and they will now help you to be a great success (which is their job as parents) by enabling you to carry out such a plan that you have explained to them. No need to be ashamed of this - it is humbling a good way to realize how much you owe to your ancestors.
>>33730298OP here. They would let me live with them, i think its only americans that kick their kids out at 18.I choose to get this job because i was naive and thought i would change, meet new people, get out of my rot.But im basically just the same, i get home from work, play games or watch a tv show. The problem with moving back is that i would need to find a new job and its not easy especially in this economy.
>>33730537>The problem with moving back is that i would need to find a new job and its not easy especially in this economy. You work it out. I described a plan. Vary it however it works for you, or just say everything is too hard. Many such cases.
Most people have zero savings, so that you have some means you are doing well.I don't know the economics of your country or your situation. Privately ask a trusted colleagues if your pay seems reasonable for your level and if you get a bump when you become permanent. Besides that, use some of your energy and free time to try to find a better paying job, if you think you are being underpaid.
>>33730062I quit going to work after I realized 90% of the time I'm just wasting my time doing pointless shit nobody cares about and not getting ahead in life.I worked there a lot over the past 12 years and the wagie community was a major factor in my decision to not work anymore. NEETs did it to an extent as well but WAGIES are far worse.Someone could give a long drawn out and factually accurate explanation of what would have to happen for me to even be able to one day buy a home and have a family and why working was fraudulent. The post would get a dozen responses of>WHY SHOULD YOU EAT?>when you know you know>economic collapse is coming>stack metals the end is nigh>keep waging faggot>100% eoy silver will reach 5k an ounceOr some equally long schizo post explaining numerology, using bible scripture and random posts here explaining how by the end of the year billions will be unemployed because of the AI.Here we are. After seeing the nothingburger today I came here just to watch the seething and suicide letters. It’s beyond EOY, the jobs didn't disappear, the banks didn't collapse (unfortunately), no more use cases and all the dirty laundry is out in the air now. It’s not going to be Millennial's Economic Paradise, it will not be the Roaring 20's all over again. The world will not be descending into hyper deflation and prosperity (as was obsessed over for months/years) it will be going on as usual with no major gains or rewards. I will enjoy watching wagies burn every step along the way. Why?Because those fucking idiots deserve it all.
>>33730062>Am i doomed? i thought neeting was bad but im basically slaving 45 hours/week for nothing . Start your own business>I am considering trying to look for a job close to my parents because that would save me 8.5k/year (if not more).Yeah, but you need to think about living expenses. Wouldn't those also increase?>But changing job after 1 year would look bad and i am not even sure my profile is in demand right now.You could easily put "Had to change jobs due to taking care of parents" on your Resume. Simple. I think starting your own business is the best option long-term.
