So I'm moving out of my place to go across the US, its a big deal for me and all that, but I also shared this place with someone else. He got all his stuff and left on the 14th and said he'd be coming back later to clean and get some of the pots and pans he wanted. Its' been 2 weeks since, and our last day on the lease is the first and he still hasn't shown up and left a huge amount of his junk in the attic and basement, like way too much to feasibly clean or even move by myself.I'll be done packing and be out tomorrow and I already cleaned out the kitchen and bathroom, but there's a bunch of his stuff + the pots and stuff he said he'd come back for just laying around. What do I do with all of it? Can I get hit with some kind of fees by the landlord for his stuff? I don't care about getting a security deposit back or anything, but I'd feel bad leaving the house in such a way, even if it's literally not my fault.I was thinking of just throwing all his stuff in a big pile somewhere and writing "PROPERTY OF ROOMMATE" with his name and number on it, is this a bad idea?
>>33733856Is there a local charity that takes old household stuff away in a truck, on short notice If so give them a call.
>>33733856Why are you making a post on 4chan instead of calling him or contacting him and asking him? Did he block you? And if you don't want the security deposit who cares? Throw it away or leave it there!!
>>33733856Tell the landlord the true facts and let them keep the shit as payment for cleaning. Don’t do anything else about it.
