Have never really liked my skin color even as a kid and always been insecure. These are things you can’t change obviously so you have to deal with it but its disadvantageous and you can’t really deny it. I’m black, if most of you guys saw me you’d call me a shitskin or say I look like coal etc. Literally darker than 99% of people in america where euro beauty standards actually do matter. It’s understandable that most people of different races wouldn’t be attracted to you but it kinda hurts when most of your own race think you look too dark and pretty much have all your life. Like if I were lighter skinned, even just regular black people color I would be treated better by most people. It’s a confirmation bias but you guys can’t deny it. I’m not attractive so I literally look like a primate. My skin color exaggerates it. Sometimes I feel like the only way for anyone to like me would be to be the subject of someone’s weird fetish instead of being liked for being human. It’s not even about just dating either, I look around and I’m genuinely afraid most people see me as disgusting because of it. It was like this when I went to my public school with 95% minorities.I’m an adult now, and I really do have to know. When you see a really dark black person do you look at them with disgust? Do most women think we’re disgusting? There isn’t much I can really do about it, but I want to know so I can at least attempts to get used to it.

When I see a black man I see a man who has a shit ton of common sense, is athletic, and can get his way out of harsh situations.
