How do you have a long distance relationship, found someone nice and not sure what to do to keep it from becoming boring or petering out. Texting regularly, playing video games together, what else? What do you even talk about after a certain point? What are the rules I should know?
You can go down this path, but the statistics are demoralizing
>>33735483I know ldr couples, this one where its a guy from New Jersey and she’s from South Korea.. you have to want to make it work, Im talking energy, money and making a plan to where to grow together otherwise it won’t work
>>33735483If you're going to have a long distance relationship since you mentioned video games, I assume this will take on Discord. You should be wary about getting doxxed and hacked. I fully suggest you go with a fake name (pseodonym) with someone just in case when things goes wrong. It's just a security measure between you and your partner. Only tell your full real name when you two fully meet up one another in person.Discord will contain all your chat logs. Your romantic moments, sexting, freaky stuff, nudes. Never share your nudes on Discord including server. If you're going take images or send images through phone it will contain EXIF metadata such as phone model and GPS coordinates and these are WAY ACCURATE than IP addresses and GPS locations. You need to know how to remove EXIF meta datas on phones.Your partner would most likely be dumb with OPSEC, password management and clicking phishing links. No matter how much you trust your partner, they can still get hacked, hijacked or phished. All your private stuff will be compromised there on Discord and other social media platform. You may not be able to rely on them but you can always rely on yourself. If your name gets leaked its a fake name and can't be traced back to you. They can always retaliate, doxx, stalk you endlessly and accuse you with something you NEVER done at all. If you did all of those above then you shouldn't be worried much. There's Undiscord (Free) and Redact (Paid) to remove your chat messages on Discord. Always clean your chat messages within 1-2 weeks. If there's tension between the relationship, always make sure to clear the old ones that is far scroll able all the way up to arouse suspicion. In case things goes really bad, always know how to delete your account in an instant to get rid of the bad stuff. They can't recover it but only Discord can see it.
>>33735483The way you have a long-distance relationship is by not having one. Because no matter what you do it's gonna get boring and peter out. There's no way around it and this is why we don't do them.
>>33735483>How do you have a long distance relationshipYou can't. It literally never works. The only partial exception to this is if it starts as a close range relationship, then goes through a temporary long-distance phase in the middle, which has a known end-point when it starts. But if you're talking about getting involved at long range with someone you've never met face to face, that's a guaranteed fail. Don't waste your time.
>>33735483The only way its gonna work is if you guys don't talk to each other that much. I had a few long-distance relationships that did manage to work out but one thing I'll say is that tho we met online years before we met in person, when we talked online we rarely talked to each other. We'd maybe text once or twice a day if that and maybe talk once or twice a week on the phone or facetime. I feel like the more you talk to the person the quicker you're gonna get bored and burn out because the more you talk to them the more you're gonna wanna be with them and the more you wanna be with them the more the distance between you is gonna be a problem and you'll eventually get tired of it and just give in for someone who lives closer. You can't "be" with someone who lives 300 miles away so in essence a long-distance relationship is really just you two pretending. It's not actually real until you meet the person.
>>33735483Long distance relationships are just you and some other person pretending. And no, they still don't work.
>>33735483You absolutely must meet up regularly like every couple months. Go to events and conventions together, always be making plans to do things or to visit eachother somehow.
