thinking of trying some mushrooms for depression. my issue is really mental (i find it hard to talk to people). only thing is i dont really have any friends to take them with and i feel like ill go into it with a bad mindset
I don't recommend if you're neurotic or over think alot. I'm that way and every time I do shrooms or smoke weed, it's always a bad trip.
It's apparently the #1 incel conversion drug that can turn you into a social butterfly if done correctly. It basically removes all blackpilled thoughts from your life for ~ 10 months+ from one to two trips. It also has heavy influence on the amygdala, which is the cortex of your brain responsible for cucking you in public and makes you too anxious to approach women.>i don't really have any friendsFuck tripsitters, they're a total meme. The John Hopkins study which showed psilocybin MOGS antidepressants into a black hole even included simply laying flat, listening to some music, and having a drink nearby. Find a warmly lit, dim room, a comfy position to recline/lie in, get a relaxing playlist going, and have an intention for your trip. Are you trying to be highly confident and smash sluts? Trying to resolve general social anxiety? Want more motivation to do more in life as a whole? Pick an intent, and dive in.If you're deathly terrified of the so called "bad trip" (these are virtually non-existent if your trip is setup properly), get some baclofen prepared to ejection seat out of the trip if it becomes too much. It's set + setting. Never go into a trip while being in a shitty mood. Do it on a day where you're already feeling pretty good and optimistic. If you can't be alone or it doesn't feel right, just postpone until it does. Never ever trip in public or with strangers at the absolute very least, and NEVER combine it with some other drug. 99% of so called "bad trips" you read up on online as a rule have "we started by smoking some weed" as the intro text.
>>33736160im worried about syd barretting myself i guess. if its just a shitty time for a couple hours then you get over it i can handle that
>>33736181excellent reply although tripping in public can be super funread plenty of trip reports but also don't expect anything when you trip, just roll with it and if it gets too overwhelming, remember you will be lucid in a few hours
>>33736047yes and nothing really changed
>>33736047There's some limited evidence to suggest that having a bad trip is slightly more effective at lifting depression than having a good one, so don't worry too much about that. However, you need to understand that Psilocybin isn't magic. It doesn't just magically make you feel better. What it does is to *slightly* improve neuroplasticity; in other words, it makes the brain a little less rigid, makes it a little easier to break bad habits and bad ways of thinking, and form new, healthier ones. So you still have to completely change your life in order to feel any better; the drug just makes it slightly easier to change things. This means it's useless if you take it by yourself without support. You need to have a therapist, or something similar; you need to figure out what your destructive habits are; and figure what out what new habits you want to try to put in place; and then use the Psilocybin to help with that change. I'm speaking as someone who has taken part in a clinical trial testing the impact of Psilocybin on treatment-resistant depression. It did help a bit, for a while; but only because of the structure of the trial and the therapeutic process.
