What should I do about people coming into my carport at night and getting into my car? I've had these guys come in a couple times, stole a couple bucks max, but I feel like it's going to continue. I'm never awake to catch them, so I've set a new alarm for my cameras. My first instinct is to confront them with defensive force. Not violence, but be armed and let them know I won't allow them to continue. The downside is they could escalate, or get mad and come back later. If I do nothing though, that might make me look like an easy mark, and they might escalate things therefore. What should I do? Confront or ignore?
>>33739842I have a long alert tone set for my cameras. I have one pointed directly at my car. I go out in my underwear unarmed when I catch them. They aren’t used to being confronted and just run away from the crazy half naked guy. I have thousand of $ in tools and shit sitting in my van.
does your car not have a lock?
>>33739936It does, but it doesn't lock automatically after a time, which is weird. Sometimes you just forget.
>>33739945Pretty dumb to just forget something that important. Also leaved cigarettes laced with poison in the car.
>>33739842Lock the car
>>33739945>but it doesn't lock automatically after a timecars do this now? no wonder people forget to lock up. they have someone or something else do it for them for so long that they forget they are in a low-trust society.
>>33739842I lived in a neighborhood and the police said not to lock your car unless you wanted broken windows. Take everything out of the car or move. I moved
>>33739842>What should I do?Lock your car.
>>33739842Call the poli... oh wait, bongistanian police hate people like you... never mind!
>>33739842You uh, should probably call the police
