Learned to drive in my late 20s (not a deliberate choice.) Failed my first road test by hitting someone's parked car, went to drivers ed and got a perfect score on my second attempt. Things went smoothly for a few months until I was at fault in an accident. I wasn't driving recklessly, but I miscalculated a turn, someone hit me from the side, it didn't seem like a hard collision but they somehow spun into a ditch. It was pretty scary and I still feel guilty.

I am worried that I learned too late to ever be a good driver. Should I avoid driving for a while, or will that make it worse? If i have to keep driving, should I go back to drivers ed for refresher training?

All driver's ed is going to do is teach you basic road rules, most of which boils down to not hitting shit and following posted sign rules and speed limits and road etiquette. You can get that in a YouTube video.

You would be better served taking a professional driver's course, or at least one that shows you HOW to CONTROL your vehicle and be aware of your surroundings. Also be more cautious, for example, if turning right, don't turn into the rightmost lane if some other cunt is in the left lane, because people misjudge that shit all the time.

I saw them far away and thought I'd make it, they were much faster than I anticipated. probably why they spun out of control

doesn't matter that they probably saw me coming and could have stopped, Legally I am at fault I didn't dispute that. i paid the ticket. I should have waited longer at the stop sign. Maybe I should be a more patient person in general

My wife learned at 32 and shes better than the majority of drivers. Dont do that, thats dumb. More likely than not your nerves are high and thats your issue.

You have to keep driving to get better

How do you even get into an accident lol. do you think you are smarter than other people? or worse, do you think other people have functioning brains?
