Gonna have my first real time job in a few days. Kinda stressed about how I'm gonna balance out non work related stuff. Before I had a simple life where I'd get up, go to gym, come back home , and do whatever I felt like doing. But now it seems like I'd only have about 5-6 hours during the weekday to do other stuff, and I feel that could make weekends feel more like a chore. Any Input?
>>33746812>5-6 hours free timeYou wish lmao, are you forgetting chores/exercising/commuting? The fun ends here nigga, wait till you have kids and/or start to get older and lose your energy. Hope you enjoyed your neet phase because that's the last bit of freedom you enjoyed. If you keep a consistent schedule and stay on top of exercising/chores/finances then it's tolerable.1) Don't blow all your money on dumb shit. I have met people who have otherwise good paying jobs but no savings because they do this. "Keeping up with the Joneses" is a fools errand.2) Exercise only becomes more important as you age. Build good habits NOW.3) Make a list of shit that you need to do and DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Be consistent. If something has to be cleaned every week you will clean it every week NO EXCEPTIONS EVER.4) To add on to point 3 just be consistent in general and schedule your life, you will thank me later.5) Get a WFH/hybrid job it will make your life so much better. Or at the very least minimize commute, it really does add up. You can get social needs met outside of work and you can't really choose your coworkers but you can choose your friends. Speaking of which, choose wisely, don't pick bad friends. This isn't to say coworkers are always evil or whatever, I am friendly/cordial with them but they are not really my friends. If you live in or near an urban area (especially LA, NYA, Chicago, etc.) I do not want to here "there is nobody here/there is nothing to do" EVER. Completely your fault.6) People will be busy, get comfortable being alone (but don't become a complete hermit because your social skills will atrophy and those are important).Good luck.
>>33746883>last bit of free you'll enjoyTypo, my bad. Also forgot to mention a lot of jobs are 8-5 or 9-6 now, so 9 hours of work. Isn't that wonderful? Welcome to the rest of your life.
>>33746883I mean all of these points except 5 are valid. Bitch, you think I would be worried about anything if I had a hybrid or WFH job?
>>33746893Fair, but try to get into one. Having so much more time is worth a pay cut imo once you are earning/saving enough money. I really can not emphasize how much it improves your life.
>>33746899Will keep that in mind. Honestly I barely buy anything these days anyways that isn't good/other essentials. So I feel after 3-6 months of this I'll try to find something along those lines.
