I had foamy pee, joint pain, heart problems, depression, breathing problems and a bunch of different problems since just after I finished high school. We went to a bunch of doctors and it never really got fixed properly. I would say it's been like 5 or 6 years now and a new rheumatologist that I've been seeing for a while diagnosed me with lupus. It's apparently very rare with men but it can happen and when it does its very severe. I did some research and lupus can mess your body up in so many ways. I'm afraid it's too late for me. There's no cure and all I can see in my future is me pumping more money into medication and tests and hospital bills just to continue living in chronic pain. What's the point? I really can't see it.

The worst part about getting an autoimmune diagnosis is that there's fuck-all we can do about most of them.I spent like 8 months going back and forth getting symptoms checked out, they ruled out leukemia and lymphoma and realized I have blood markers for mono, toxo and epstein-barr (widespread infections that are all known to trigger autoimmune disorders afterwards) so I said fuck it, I can't afford to keep getting tested just to find the exact problem that there will be no treatment for anyway. It's probably an unusually aggressive psoriasis.Best thing to do is begin re-structuring your lifestyle in a way that provides relief from symptoms and doesn't aggravate them any further. Avoiding sunlight for Lupus is a bit shit, but we're all on 4chan so we can't get that much sun anyway amirite?
