I work as a janitor. the whole point of the job is to take out the trash most of the day. It's an easy job but my older coworker who is about 70 years old is barely doing anything. he leaves all the trashes untouched and instead of being 10-20 lbs, the trashcans become 80 lbs since he lets them sit there all day. Then he goes home, and I have to get everything he ignored. This has been going on for the past year and I am starting to lose my patience. It has started to hurt my back. I try to give him a break since he's an old man, I get the trashes for him and don't mention the problem. But he's acting like I'm stupid. I try to leave everything in good condition when I close so that he has an easy opening shift the next day. And he proceeds to leave a bunch of shit for me. I have been quietly seething about this and I have no intentions of "telling" on him or anything. But I can't help but feel frustrated

imagine the dust

If you're not going to bring it up to the manager it means you're okay with it. Honestly, he'd do the same to you and is likely planning to once you stop pulling his weight. In which case it will be you being diciplined.

Bro, you are in the real world and tattle tailing to a manager because an old man isn't emptying trash cans is the faggiest shit you could do. He's 70 years old working as a janitor, you know he's down bad. I think you're doing alright but the problem is you've fallen into allowing yourself to seethe about picking up heavier trash bags. Your back would hurt no matter what. It might help to recognize what he DOES, and remind yourself you're grateful he at least does that.

Don't let him talk down to you or act like you're stupid, though. You can absolutely explain to him face to face, "Every night I think about you when I'm making sure that when you start your shift, I'm not leaving you with extra problems or work. I do that because I respect you. All I ask is that you offer me some respect. You and I are in on this together and this job might be shit, but we can at least make it easier on each other."

You'll figure it out brother but you gotta let shit go. If you think your back hurts, imagine being 70 years old and still working as a janitor. You'd probably thank God for a colleague as patient as yourself, right? Right, bro?

What a horrifying living space.

Take as long a vacation possible. Let them realize how little work he's doing.

On the flip side.
Look for a new job.

Just confront him about it honestly and respectfully. If he throws a fit just say nothing and walk away
>>
Considering how he still works there, you should either find a new job, or if you're petty, do exactly only as much work as he does until you get fired

It's all for show. Dust isn't visible on the camera so dude doesn't care. Also, it's not comfy at all
>bowser carpet is an extrusion, potential tripping hazard
>meowth dakimakura on the couch says everything you need to know
>full-on lights blasting on maximum brightness with animations while you're trying to focus on the game
>tiktok neon suggests that the guy is an influencer, aka businessman, aka it's all a part of his business
>again, lights fucking everywhere
>shitload of unopened boxes -> scalper, not even enjoying the product
>why would he enjoy 164th figurine though
>video editing keyboard
>distracting animation on a useless screen on his computer
>most absurd multi-screen setup ever
>two-person couch, one spot permanently occupied by plushies
>even more LEDs
>twenty unopened controllers

This room is 100% designed for his tiktok, not for himself. I am jelous of the money that took to make this though.

this is how every relationship works, girlfriend, boss, roommate, whatever shit you allow to happen without saying anything means you're good with it. Simply pull your own weight, and if he tells you to do shit that he should be doing, tell him to do it instead. he'll probably wise up and just do it, but if he gets pissy, then you can complain to a supervisor.
