It's always the voice that will get you. I'm not sure what they even do, and maybe it's just more natural for them, but the trannies that do get away with it are pretty rare, imo. Most people just cannot get the pitch down right and it will always sound off, if just in tiny ways. You might have a convincing girl voice in-passing, but under longterm scrutiny, I doubt you would be able to hold it and be consistent.
