>be autist
>go to college first at 19
>struggle
>mom gets cancer and goes batshit insane and the stress is too much
>fall into terrible long depressive episode
>get part time wagie job
>want to go back to college
>will be 27

Alright I need information on how to be prepared for the troubles of going to college late, things to expect. How to deal with being an aged anomaly at the college.
And generally how to cope with having missed potentially the best years to be at a college.
>>
Probably do better than a kid would since you're not going to be invited to parties and shit.
>>
>>33768673
Just act like a normal guy. Take care of your looks and health.
Talk to people.
>>
>>33768691
Not getting invited to parties is utterly irrelevant and you shouldn't think about it for a second.
If you see a girl you like just smile and talk to her about simple shit.
>>
>>33768697
Thanks.
>>33768701
I know I'm too old for parties now. But to be fair I was never meant for parties due to autism. You could just tell I had it by looking at me.
Realizing this fact was one of the things that crippled my concentration via stress.
>>

Go. College isn't just for 18 year olds any more. In some schools the 0ver-25s outnumber the younger ones.
>>
You get an older crowd at night school, if it's a problem for you, but I think you'll find that there will be quite a few people your own age.
>>
Im almost 35 and I'm considering going back for a masters, maybe even all the way back to another bachelors. I graduated at 26 with my first bachelors, which was the average grad age at my university, at least for my major, so I really don't know what you're on about.
>>
>>33768673
What degree are you pursuing? You'll mostly be ignored by the younger ones or looked at as a freak. Expect people to sit far from you in class. I think that's one of the hardest things, when you experience this on a daily basis. You'll also overhear lots of stories during breaks that will make you envious or make you feel like you've missed out. Also, you'll feel like you belong to that crowd because you're mentally still stuck at that age, but you'll have to remind yourself you're almost twice their age. So don't think the girls staring at you find you cute. They stare cause you're weird for being old and auristic.
>>
>>33768673
You'll be fine. I also went back to school at that age. Just don't expect to be partying, you missed that boat.
>>
>>33770921
I know I'll have to go to turn things around.
>>33771314
I'll admit I kind of lost my vocation during my depressive episode. I had to drop out because I was already stressed for being ugly and treated badly for it but then mom's cancer and her going insane really sealed it for me and I had to drop out.
I feel like becoming a writer as a last ditch gamble. But I may have to compensate for mediocre writing with visuals so I have to somehow learn to draw fast. Already looking at tutorials.
I understand that there will be times where I'll be relentlessly reminded that I missed out.
>>33771321
>Just don't expect to be partying, you missed that boat.
I know. Would I still be able to somehow get a date or will I always be rejected for being too old?
>>
>>33771361
Honestly, I don't think you should try writing or drawing at this age. People start young with that stuff and even then they don't become successful. I know it's sort of a coping mechanism of your brain that gives you hope, but you'll just waste your time. It's like Joaquin Phoenix in the Joker, where he always imagines himself going to that talk show and being a star. It's just magical thinking.
>>
>>33771361
>Would I still be able to somehow get a date or will I always be rejected for being too old?
Final year students will be 22 or 23 depending. At that age the gap isn't too massive. You definitely won't have any luck younger than that.

>I know it's sort of a coping mechanism of your brain that gives you hope, but you'll just waste your time
It very much is I guess. I just don't know what to do. I only know I have to go back to college. Couldn't find a vocation after dropping out, and always wanted a career that was a balance between happiness and making a living.
>>
NBD, I just finished grad school and I'm 42. It is never too late to make your life better. Who cares if you missed all the shitty partying and drug use? Be a fucking grown up 27 year old and go to school for the right reason, to get smarter and get that sweet piece of paper that will get you a decent job. Unless you wanted to keep slinging burgers the rest of your life.

Please don't go to college for writing. You can do that as a hobby. You need to get a degree in something that is going to BETTER your life, something practical to make your life easier.
>>
>>33771409
>You definitely won't have any luck younger than that.
Explain why. Use universal principles not personal outlooks and anecdotes.
>>
>>33771410
Going to college with no real plan is not a good idea. You'll get an artificial feeling of accomplishement throughout your studies, but you'll still end up where you are now. Look at interesting job listings in your area and see what degree they require. Then pick a degree based on that. You really have to have the end goal in your mind first, degree is just a means to an end.

I am in college right now at age 28 and went back at age 27, should graduate next year before my 30th birthday. My only recommendation is to start your first semester with a very low credit load - 12 credits, just to re-adjust yourself to academic life. Then you can scale up as you feel comfortable with your academics. And also to be honest idk what you mean about the best years to be at college, I enjoy college way more now in my late 20s than in my early 20s. Back when I was that young I literally had almost no money or life experience and I was way more immature and basically everything about my life was worse. Now I just chill and it's still quite easy to make friends, but that's because I personally am quite sociable.
>>
>>33771409
Depends bro. When I first got to school I had a literal Freshman come onto me, like, literally just graduated high school and at that time I was 27. I said no, but not because of her age, she was just ugly. Which just goes to say that young is not beautiful. Nonetheless, there were other women a few years older than her that I also went out with in the 20-23 age range. If a girl likes you she likes you, that's it.
>>
>>33771409
>You definitely won't have any luck younger than that.
this is such a zoomer incel cope lol
>>
>>33771479
Last semester I had 3 girls around 20 lusting after me and Im 27, fat, bald, and extremely socially incompetent.
I didnt like any of them but the point stands.
>>
>>33771490
>young girls pointing, laughing and staring at me with their friends
Oh yeah, they were totally into you.
>>
>>33771595
Yea there were plenty doing that too
>>
>>33771481
>OP is a self admitted depressed autist
He's totally gonna crush young pussy bro, you're so right.
>>
As someone who has the tism myself, I wouldn’t overthink it. I went to a commuter school, and it wasn’t uncommon to see some 30-year-old who had goofed off 10 years earlier, dropped out, and then came back with a more mature perspective.

You’re still young at 27. Just take care of yourself, and you’ll probably still find something of value by joining organizations and getting involved.

Be easy to talk to, check out the book by Carnegie, and remember that most people are naturally conditioned to want to connect, not judge.
>>
>>33768673
I havent been the oldest person in any class I've been in

Nobody cares
>>
>>33771361
If you enjoy writing and drawing, go for it—but don't feel like you need to go to university for that. Instead, choose a more stable career and pursue your creative passions as a hobby or a potential side income. There’s no real age limit for developing these skills. Sure, it’s easier to learn when you're younger, but many people start later and still succeed. Just remember that it’s important to have something stable to fall back on, so prioritize a career that provides financial security while nurturing your creative ambitions on the side.
>>
>>33768673
Damn you're in my same boat except I'm 25 and I also have literally zero fucking clue what to study. I am horrible at math because I dropped out of high school before I even got to learn algebra
>>
>>33772152
Yeah I am now feeling like I don't know what to do in what courses to take now. Genuinely envious of people who figure out what they want to do early. I'm not sure now.
>>
>>33772834
I don't know what to do either, and it's not helped by me feeling under pressure due to my mom's health declining and her almost dying this year from a brain tumor, and being unsure because no matter where I look, everyone is doomerposting about how shit their jobs are and how nobody wants to hire white men anymore. That and I just fucking despise the idea of giving up the rest of my life and my health, all to make some rich Jew some more money
>>
>>33772983
You have to leech off benefits then. Understand that the Jew has won even before your birth. Your parents were jabbed and fed a non-kosher diet of DNA-altering foods before you were even born. You're already non-competitive in society due to this and many other things after birth. Not much you can do other than pick from either working at Walmart or leech off benefits.
>>
>>33773021
>You have to leech off benefits then
I get gibs already because I have schizophrenia, but getting a thousand dollars from the government is shit money, and living around blacks isn't something I want to do for the rest of my life. The only big boon is that I have free health insurance. But I get genuine heart pain from how lonely and isolated I am, I have zero friends, and no family outside of my mom, I have no community to be a part of
>>
>>33768673
I went at 30 and it was one of best things I did. (Second degree, was done with first and worked saved up).

Its like, you know all the tricks and tips and shit its easy. Talking girls and generally life. Also everyone seems so immature and childish lol I was kinda not liking that after a while, realized theres levels to the game.

But for girl getting its great. They like experiences guys and date 30smthings anyhow. But by being there and mogging all kids with maturity (no need to be big yoked but helps to be fit) is nice.

20 smthing dudes like I was only care about being yoked and invest zero in social skills.

Being 30 and life experienced helps you a lot in landing girls.

I had to reject some of them.

Overall if its smth u care about do it.

Dont listen to negative comments its by either fat ugly women or losers in general who do the shizo theathrics and think everyone is after them in a bad way.

Have anti schizo thinking. Think everyone is on your side.

Well, I lied. Men will largely not like you. But its doable still for the degree and girls.
I made some good friends tho men and women on my second Uni.

Tip: dont try to help beta losers, they will hate you no matter what you do. Embrace chad life and slay.

Big lesson as a Chad I hat to learn is not helping beta losers. I really wanted to but they get snarky, cynical and bitter over anything and expect to be ego stroked for their self pity. Its sad really.

Just be Chad accept that you will be hated. Lay hot girls and enjoy.

what did you study though?
>>
>>33773145
A Bachelor's of Arts in LARP

>>33773084
People work in factories for that amount. They commute to work everyday. They get yelled at. They also live in poor neighbourhoods. You're not aware just how lucky you are.
