I have being doing a STEM degree for just over a year now and it is absolutely mind numbing. The people show zero interest in the material, the teachers barely explain anything, the assignments are retarded and the pace extremely slow.
The whole environment is overwhelming and depressing: making me dream of offing myself (I won't as it is evil). I am going to quit but really don't have any other alternatives. What do?

STEM degrees have the highest employement rate. You should definitely stick to it. Imagine all that you've said, but with no job after--that's all the non-STEM degrees out there. Keep going and finish that shit. Also, you're a bit brainwashed for thinking that offing yourself is "le ebil".

I think you just love the subject more than others, love is your professor is what I'm saying.
>>
i would tough it up and supplement your time going to events and networking. or try good alternatives like accounting or nursing. you're a year in so most of your classes right now are intended to weed out the people not built for it.

i will say, later classes will have more interested students but the professors and assignments will get worse. if you hated indians before, wait until you get an indian professor who you cannot fucking understand because of their accent and thus have to teach yourself everything.

Don't be an idiot. Control your hormones. Someone should bitchslap you. You think non-university life is any better? Life sucks. Get over it.

>>33776433
I dont care about a job
>>33776496
I used to love the subject. Now I hate it. The people in the field are small-minded, conformist, lazy and in it for the money. Nobody actually has any interest in the field.
>>33776532
I dont care about networking. I dont care about the people here. I want no contact with them at all they are a detriment to my life.
Again I do not care about the subject anymore. It is dead to me. I want to get OUT of STEM. Maybe study German, Classics, Chinese. Something with people that have an actual soul
>>
>>33776618
Seems like all you care about is getting attention, so here it is. Enjoy your (you) and keep writing your shit novel here while rejecting every advice since you obviously know better. Arrogant piece of shit.
>>

Your post reflects more on yourself than me.
I am not selling my soul for money. If you care about 'employment rates' over Truth your advice is worthless as you are just another bugman cog in the machine

Yeah, you're definitely retarded. Might want to check in at the psych ward before you hurt anyone with your supernatural thinking and disregard for others you deem inferior to you. Just remember that you're not smart or else you would have figured out that degrees are only relevant for jobs that actually require a diploma. If you're dumb and pursue a degree for "fun", then that's on you. You could have spent your time learning everything online and at the library without enrolling in school and without getting a degree if you're not looking for a job.

Anyways, it's a bit exhausting talking to low IQ schizophrenics suffering from NPD. Next time, just go do some accurate online IQ test as a reality check, and as a reminder you should not pollute imageboards because of your boredom and mental illness.

So quit. Why should I care?
>>
>>33776712
You should care, because your attention is very precious to individuals who crave it since they don't get any and haven't gotten any in early childhood either which caused deep rooted trauma and insecurity compelling them to seek it by any means possible.
>>
>>33776138
Don't quit, be ahead of them during lectures as you say they are going slow and take your free time to invest on more self-education on the matter, be better, you know what you like and have the skills and enviroment, use it, godspeed, ma g

Ad hominem ad hominem. My iq is 148 WAIS-IV and you are not here to offer advice. Perhaps /b/ is the better board for you. You think I am mad yet it is you being the bitter one here.

This is an /adv/ board

>blablabla
If you had at least an average IQ you would have solved your already-solved "problem". You would have also figured that no one here thinks you're mad, because you got precisely what you wanted: attention. What we do think here, however, is that you suffer from mental illness and that whatever attention-seeking pulsations your cognitively declining brain has, STILL has to follow the rules of this board. The only advice we can give you based on our interaction with you is to go seek help immediately and stop spamming this board. Go cry "ad hominem! ad hominem!" to a doctor when they diagnose you with exactly what everyone has diagnosed you here.

>>33776902
Stop derailing my thread. You are the one spamming, acting like a mentally ill person making things up.

>STEM
Don't quit. The material is beautiful and something of an end in itself, as well as having employment at the end (you do have an employment goal, don't you?). Just buckle down and use free online and offline resources to pass the exams. You are NOT there to make friends, but be open to the possibility of networking.
>>
I don’t care about OP. But for everyone else when you feel discouraged in your STEM study, try watching old Feynman interviews/documentary/lectures. They work as pick-me-up.

You really want us to take advice from a person that is both a Jew and a midwit?
