I got a call today from some jeet saying he found my resume on ziprecruiter and he’s with tundra technical. He says he can get me a job at Boeing. The pay sounds way too good to be true so I’m very skeptical. The problem I’m having is there’s no obvious indication this is a scam, it’s not like those “personal assistant” money mule things, this dude has a LinkedIn profile and tundra technical is an actual Boeing contractor. If this is a scam it’s the most elaborate I’ve ever seen.

The requirements just sound way too easy for the pay so I’m very confused. I know Boeing pays contractors way too much but even still.

its a scam
they'll try get as much info as they can before you need to pay for some bullshit

Buy an ad. Also, the only way to know is to try. The jeet scammers got quite good and you will never be able to tell nowadays.

It's crazy to me that people still upload their resumes publicly on the internet on whatever websites for everyone to steal their personal info. Linkedin is just facebook but even worse.

>No mother, it is me your son Dave Fullname Davidson! I am currently working at The Job Factory since 2024, now please to send me google gift cards without redeeming.

It's all scams, it's all AI and indians.

What can he do with my resume? It’s not like it has anything you can’t already find with a google search. I’m waiting to see if he’ll ask for something important like a bank info or a social.

Are you dumb? By getting info on you he can answer those bank security questions like "what school did I study to?" or "what was the name of my teacher in X grade?".

The only thing Boeing builds is the fuselage - the metal shell. Everything else is subcontracted to other major corporations (GE, Raytheon, etc) and they do their own hiring.

I bet you do have experience with ERP if you're on this site

Former recruiter here, I’m ashamed to say. Here’s how it works

>there may be a real job opening at tundra technical
>you are not actually applying to it
>you’re just being registered in jeet recruiter’s company’s database
>when some company contacts him saying “we need a person with xyz experience” he can submit your resume
>if you get hired he makes a commission

Once you get hired you’re working for Tundra, so the only subterfuge is a potentially fake job opening to entice people to apply but actually become part of their Rolodex of potential candidates to send

I worked with Aston Carter before and generally the work they lined up for me was good. Contract work isn’t great, but it’s not the worst thing ever. I went and did all the legwork on this guy, he is a real employee with tundra technical and they are a real contractor for Boeing, and the talentpool site he linked me is real. He didn’t ask me for anything like a social or something he can use to steal my identity. I called up tundra and confirmed he’s an actual employee and called up Boeing HR and confirmed the job was real.

It does seem like he’s the real deal, he just happened to contact me in the worst possible way.

What did you say to them when calling? Assuming this is not a larp. I feel anything I could come up with will sound rude, and they will rescind the offer.

I could not say if that is a scam but used to work for another big aviation brand and do not think the methods or pay is out of the ordinary.

Nothing rude, I was simply skeptical and asked if I could call him back tomorrow. He insisted I look at his LinkedIn etc. I spent all yesterday doing research and I can’t find anything to suggest this is a scam.
