Bumping. Nta, but was always told women love to talk about themselves, yet it always turns into a pseudo interrogation when trying to have a conversation. And when they do talk, it's about uninteresting shit. I can talk with guys all day about anything under the sun like self-driving cars ramming into two-tone cars (including police cars), how hard you would need to throw a rock to make a perfect hole through plywood, or what beer is best and why. Then they come in with shit like spirit crystals and women's sports and whatnot. Not that they know jack shit about the sport or the players, just that there are women playing them and something about girl power.

Also bullshit politics. Once went to a meetup at a bar and had brought an asimov book to read while waiting for it to start. Had a great conversation with a guy old enough to be my dad who was a materials scientist turned college professr about sci-fi and the rapid progression of technology and solid-state and all that. Then two female elementary school teachers sat down by us and immediately pivoted the conversation to some liberal arts bullshit and politics. Are people just not taught the decorum of polite conversation? Never bring up sex, politics, or religion. It's not that hard.
