is my girlfriend an alcoholic? i had to bring up that i didn't like that i noticed her taking sips of wine from a green tea bottle when she was driving recently. also we were at a festival at the private school where she works and she was carrying around a glass water bottle and hiding the fact that she was drinking wine. she's a school nurse so i thought it was weird that she was drinking at her job basically even though she was off the clock.she tells me she uses alcohol to de stress and only drinks the equivalent of a glass or glass and a half of wine each day and that it's no different than having a glass at a restaurant. she got really defensive with me saying she shouldn't have to wait to get home to have wine and that it's fine because she's below the legal limit when driving.i'm confused. it seems to me like she depends on it every day to de stress. i get having a beer or a joint or something every day after work, it's like she stretches it over time though. and not gonna lie, if you keep a "buzz" throughout the day you're drunk right?she works a stressful job as a nurse and can drive and do everything fine. she doesn't seem to drink it super often but i did catch her really drinking a bit over the days recently. she got really defensive with me about it the other day and i kind of folded under the pressure because i felt bad for upsetting her.honestly i love this girl so much and i've never had such a good relationship. but that being said it's only been 2 months and i don't know how i feel about dating an alcoholic long term. idk if she is one, but it seems like she has a bit of a dependency. idk how to mention this to her again because i said i was sorry over and over and said i wouldn't bring it up again. i'm a coward i know. but idk what to think or how to bring it up again.
>>33778600Ditch that slag right away. She has no self-control and alcohol is not only harmful to DNA, but it also inhibits weight loss. I can't even even understand how you got in a relationship with such a girl in the first place. Is your standard really that low?
>>33778600My ex was like this drinking vodka from a water bottle at work and at the supermarket. She died at 40 from liver failure. It's wine not vodka so maybe she'll last till 50. Drinking and driving is serious though you will probably end up having to bail her out of jail.
this is classic alcohol behavior. they lie about the amount they drink. they hide it. NO ONE is drinking and driving to de stress. sheβs drinking to feel normal
>>33779312Also women like this consider drinking a part of their personality so it's like a direct attack on them. An alcoholic has to want to stop themselves and it's usually after screwing up really hardcore. But if this chick didn't drink she might not have gone for OPanon so what can you do?
