Can you give me some advice on how to change this developing perception of mine? It's just that everything I see irl suggests that it's the case. I see it time and time again. They hardly exchange a conversation and yet suggest something along the lines of "he's so likeable, his personality is great, he's sweet, etc.". It's just...I don't know. Society says A, I'm without a doubt observing B, like it's undeniable at this point.
Wanting an attractive mate is a common human trait, yes. But it's not all genetics - so long as you take care of yourself, practice good hygiene and dress in a way that flatters your face and body, you will be attractive enough for most women. Remember, nobody likes a slob.
