I want to read books so I can spend less time on 4chan but I'm actually really stupid. I'm unable to comprehend what I'm reading most of the time and I keep stuck analazing a specific paragraph because I just can't get it.

Is this improvable as a person with low IQ?

getting stuck re-reading something is a common issue, mortimer adler talks about it in his how to read a book thing. Most of it's just habit and approaching it badly.
The basic approach to reading (using a non fiction book as an example):
>read the table of contents, get a sense of the whole book, maybe skip around and skim to get a general idea of the whole point of the book
>read it straight through, not ever re-reading just finish it (the point here is the earlier parts may need the full "unity" of the book to be understood)
>if it's very good you can read it again more in depth making sure you understand every line
the key thing is the main goal should just be trying to get a sense of the whole book, don't worry about understanding every paragraph/sentence. Your first read should basically be to get through it.

Why is /adv/ full of retards asking the same dating advice questions for the millionth time and 40 year old incels complaining about their shit lives?

Where are the real questions, where are the actual humans that matter in today's society?

Reading is a skill that you will improve at the more you keep doing it, there aren't any shortcuts or dumb tricks just keep going. Also, merely attempting to read puts you ahead of like half the population so don't put yourself down for no reason.

Your attention span is probably just fucked. Spend 5 minutes reading a physical book in a room without any electronics. If you can do that, then add 5 minutes to that tomorrow and keep repeating it.

you can fix this just keep doing what you're doing eventually you won't get stuck like that

Ask AI to summarize books for you. Start with The Old Man and the Sea

Sure, you can definitely improve it.
It's fine to get stuck on things. It happens to me too depending on the density and complexity of what I'm reading.

Just read more.

How to become retarded

he already is

Start with children's or teen books - NOT because you're retarded (which you aren't) but just to prove to yourself that you can do it. Then move on quickly to adult books

Short stories or magazine or technical manuals on things you find interesting.

Fisherman has a bad day. There. That’s the summary

Just read simpler books.
As your brain improves you can take dense books.
If you can't understand a text, reading is wasted time and energy.

That's the way humans learnt for millennia.

That's valid for any text. No matter, programing or literature.
Actually, there is lighter and denser literature, the same as technical books.
The same as tutorials you fin on the net.
You know if you are improving when you read it. This discerning work can't be done outside your self, because you are made of literally billions of individual neurons and synapses that are you and no one else. Sometimes you find some "basic" tutorial and you can't understand shit. Or in reverse, you thinks "I already know this".
And happily, you'll find something and say "This".
Hope this helps.

Usually asking the same question like you do. He knows the answer to get better at reading: read. But no he is too lazy just like the 40 year old retards who refuses to get a social circle and friends. They won't work for anything.

Do you find audio books any easier?

You are in the wrong place is you want shit that matters to society

you just need to read something that sparks an interest of yours. I could read gym related stuff all day but russians classics kill me in 5 minutes no matter how much I try

This is the correct advice. He stole it from the book "how to read a book"
>>
make sure you have fun
that's most of the hurdle
if you struggle with catching interest you can maybe watch a show based on said book
like how every zoomer actually started reading because of anime
