Hello anons. I haven't seen this topic posted before.Ever since 2004, I have been blessed to give away 10% of my after tax income to charities. I first started by giving all of that to my church, but for the last few years I've split it between my church, icandecide.org which advocates for vaccine choice and safety, various substack authors, and a subscription to the epoch times, and supporting klove radio. I actually enjoy this time of year because I know the money I earn in these last few months of the year will go to good causes. I even gave some money just now to tyler fischer because he's crowd funding a movie. Many of you young guys don't even know what it was like to have good comedy movies, so I hope he makes a good one. Anyway, my advice is, it feels better to give than receive. You may think I'm rich, I'm not. I drive a 2003 Honda. Buying stupid consoomer shit doesn't make you happy. If nothing else, giving stops you from obsessing over your own troubles, so in a way it's a guaranteed anti-depressant.

I don't donate to the corporate whore types or the egirl whore types.As for FOSS, generally if entryist types and "code of conduct" types take over a project I stop donating for obvious reasons. Those people are project-killers anyway.

>>33808399The only money i give out is to friends when i buy them a meal or drinks or a gift for their birthday. One time i found a bunch of cash and went out with the guys and i was gonna pay for the entire night. I was even gonna give them both a hundred bucks just because. And i was even gonna hive one of the guys a few grand because his girlfriend needed surgery and he was tight on cash. But none of them wanted free money. No matter how much i pushed. Too proud, i guess. Id never give money to a charity or to a stranger.
