Is it normal to just not have any friends? I can remember ever since elementary school I never really had any and would circle the perimeter of the playground 'cause I was terrified of how the other kids would rough-house. And when I got to middle/high school I would read/do homework/draw instead of talk to people because all they cared about was football and rap-music. I've got a good job now where I don't really have to talk to anyone but it gets isolating sometimes. I also live on a dirt road with barely any neighbors, not to mention a very small town. I oftentimes get melancholic in the afternoons since I drive by that old house that we lived in from when I was a baby till' about 6 years old and were forced to move due to a fire. I kinda want to go back there even though I'm only 20. Ive never been attracted to real life wemon and always found anime girls and stuffed animals more attractive. I would oftentimes just get lost in the world of Pokémon and other RPG's when I was a kid and still do. Is this normal?
>>33808937Normal is just what is most common. You're not normal by any means. What would moving back into your old place accomplish? It wouldn't help you meet people. The problem is that you were surrounded by people who did not have your own interests. This is why some schools had clubs. You could've joined an art club or an anime watching club and probably made some friends. You still could make friends if you tried going to anime convensions. The only problem with that is it is really hard when you go alone and don't know anyone and if you have social anxiety because the only way you can make friends in those environments is to actually talk to someone. Best advice I have for you is to find a group online that is about your interests and maybe you'll make a friend you can someday meet up with at an event. That or move to or near a city which has stuff you like. The only normalish thing is maybe playing RPGs because those got a lot of sales, especially Pokemon. It's just hard to make IRL Pokemon friends as an adult because it's targeted at kids and RPGs are single player orientated.
I wouldnt know except as an adult. I had alot of friends all throughout my life but when you get older shit just happens.
>>33808937>Is it normal to just not have any friends? No, this is not normal. It is increasingly common, but it is still not normal or healthy for most people. Now, if you are okay having this lifestyle, then good for you, no problems. Being happy is much more important than being normal
