Should I seek one? I live in a culturally catholic country and I found out about this female therapist which claims to be a catholic, she says on her website that she also accepts people of other religions but it seems that most people who seek her are catholics like herself so I wonder if I should go to this therapist. She also seems to work with psychiatrists so in case I need medication I assume that she will direct me towards them. Is it really worth it to seek this catholic therapist or should I just seek a normal one? I want to go back to church as well so that I can try healing from depression and anxiety by both therapeutical/medical and religious means.
>christian therapiststhose are called priests, Anon
>>33809954I'd like to try both, after all if the female therapist is a scam I would just stop going but I want to seek a psychiatrist as well and thought that going to one through a christian therapist might be a better idea since psychiatrists only have knowledge of the medical part and not also the spiritual
>>33809944i don't get it why would you not if you're trying to be catholic again? isn't it perfect and even better than seeing an atheist therapist?
>>33809961If you are catholic I would recommend visiting first the priest, then the medic and later the therapist
>>33809944If religion is important to you, it may help to have a therapist who can understand that.
