Can a 26 year old who is a complete social recluse turn it all around and be normal? Or would I just always be too far behind everyone else my age.
>>
>>33827534
Your logic is flawed. The question "Can I be exactly like everyone else?'' is irrelevant: it's not a race. What you should be asking is "Can I be significantly happier than I am now?" The answer to *that* is yes, you can.
>>
>>33827534
It's either family or career. Can't always have both, but if you don't have any then you are fucked.
>>
>>33827558
I think you posted in the wrong thread, this sounds completely irrelavant to OP's question
>>
>>33827534
Sure, that's what I did.
>>
>>33827611
How
>>
>>33827851
By pursuing one's dreams
>>
>>33827851
I took up BJJ and dance classes. You could do any hobby where you exchange money for forced socialization.
>>
>>33828003
>dance classes
I tried that too but I suck at dancing and also hate it
>>
>>33828064
Did you read the second sentence? It's a good sentence. I included it so you would read it, hopefully..
>>
>>33828089
What other hobbies force socialization?
>>
>>33828136
If you can't do the research, then you're too lazy to do the hobby anyway, so I can't help you there.
You will probably get buttmad at this response but someday you will know I was right.
>>
>>33828151
I didn't say you were wrong. My current hobbies are drawing, gym and surfing the internet.
I checked the available hobbies that force me to socialize.
There’s dancing like salsa or bachata, coed sports like volleyball or climbing, acting or improv classes, cooking or cocktail workshops, language exchanges, art or photography meetups, volunteering, yoga or pilates, book or film clubs, and even social hiking or travel groups.
And I fucking HATE the idea of all of them. I'd rather just stay at home and do nothing, or at least travel or something, AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>
>>33828225
In order to get what you want, you have to expend some effort. It's not always pleasant even for people who are at the top.
>>
>>33828420
Fuck this shit.

It's pain regardless. You choose between the pain of isolation (which will get worse as you age) or the pain of socialization.
>>
>>33827851
Work harder. Easy.
>>
>>33828463
Yeah having to socialize with normies is the worst. Like, the talking part is super duber mega giga easy. But having to deal with their stupidity, biases, preconceived notions, suspiciousness, power-plays, gossip, and general evilness is just too much. Sometimes I do find a gem in the pile, in the disposal of shit. But sometimes I'm not really sure if it was worth all that shit.
>>
>>33827534
>Or would I just always be too far behind everyone else my age.
oh my god who fucking cares if you're "behind" than people your age.
>>
>>33828700
Because life is a competition no matter what people say. Attracting a woman requires you to have an edge over other men. Being good at something requires time and practice. The older you are and the more behind you are, the more fucked you are
>>
>>33831164
Well, then the question becomes, what hierrchy to climb? And what if a 26 year old just hasn't figured that out for himself yet?
>>
>>33827534
The older you get, the harder it is to change. I did it at 28, but I stopped after a while because being social because it's so exhausting. If you aren't naturally social, then it's hard. But you aren't behind "everyone" at all. Everyone is shit testing you constantly, because most people are very insecure and most of their socializing consist of talking to friends and relatives the know for decades. And then there's the whole normalfaggot stuff you have to deal with. Talking on imageboards kinda fucks you up over time though.

Projection.
It depends on the board, the thread and what you decide to interact with

and they are the soulless golems

anyone who wants to participate in modern society is either a sociopath or goycattle

Not everything is about attracting a mate man. Your end goal in life should be being happy, if your happiness is dependent on being with someone else and entirely that, isn't that quite shallow?
>>33831530
And here you are participating it in, if you really were to be detached you would be amish.
>>
>>33833621
Most people are shallow
>>
>>33833621
Oh yeah I’m sure you’ll be over the moon growing old alone, never having children.
What a life!!

It's over as soon as you turn 18 and leave the school system without a well established social circle. You go to work, but you won't make any friends, just coworkers. You join a sports club, same deal. It's over, because everyone already has their social circles locked in since childhood. You'll be nothing more than a coworker, destined to be alone for life. Social life and relationships are like trains you have to catch at the quay, a race against time that takes place during adolescence. And by extension, logically of course, no social life and no women.
But normies don't understand this because they are clueless normies who think you can walk into a bar full of strangers and magically form a social life like in The Sims. Only women can start from scratch and create a social life and get a boyfriend from scratch because of their status as women.

Whether you're 46 or 26 it doesn't change anything, maybe for the normies, but for you and me Chud, a year is like any other, the sands of time flowing towards nothingness, nothing more.. nothing less.

>as soon as you turn 18
It's over well before that if you didn't have a friendgroup in grade school, didn't go places with your friends, didn't date anybody, didn't go to school events like sports games or prom, because you missed out on crucial life experience during your formative years

Implying you won't also get that just surfing the net and talking to people online (especially on 4chan kek).

It's over if you don't have friends from Kindergarten.

Riddle me this: what if those friends were losers? You'd have no other choice be to detach yourself from them
