I just got promoted to captain extremely quickly and I’ve flown with my wife (first officer) 2 times so far. We’re young but luckily we both lost our virginities to ourselves and we live a very trad lifestyle (except for the fact that she works lol) but it’s very clear I’m the leader in our marriage and she doesn’t have authority over me, except that’s what I thought. Yesterday we flew together and because of SOP (standard operating procedure) she was the pilot flying and I was the pilot monitoring. I know it’s pure procedure but I absolutely hated when she was telling me what to do. I got angry at her and told her “I know what to do stop telling me” she was about to reply and I snapped at her and yelled at her and she started crying. I told her I’m flying and I didn’t need her help. I went completely against procedures but it’s fine. I realize I don’t want her to work anymore. What do I do? Why do I feel this way? Picrel
I really hope this is a larp but if it isn't you are not mentally stable to operate commercial airliners. The FAA should revoke your license.
