Recently, I've been giving an effort to do more in life because being sedentary constantly was making me miserable. But I'm in community college and have no motivation to finish the work in any of my classes, as I work off hyperfixations. I've been obsessed with this media as of recently and this past week the interest has completely left my body leaving the people I typically talk to about the interest alone, which kind of sucks. When I'm hyperfixated on finishing classes, I can easily secure As, this has happened a few times previously, but as the motivation leaves me, I fail. I don't know whether or not it's laziness or ADHD, but I feel like some days I can accomplish anything, while other days I feel stuck in the mud. I've been doing all the advice which is usually given, stay active (I've been lifting weights (305 BP max) & doing moderate/vigorous intensity cardio every day) I've been keeping on top of chores, keeping my room clean, etc. but when it comes to schoolwork (which I know is going to be incredibly easy), I just can't get motivated. Anyone else have similar experiences? How do you cope and what can you do to stay on track?

Hmm, when that happens, I usually do it i baby steps. First, I tell my body to move to my school backpack. Then I tell myself to get the material out and put it on the table. Then I sit down and remove all distractions. Then I set a 25min timer and just start reading. And then I use the Pomodoro technique (4x 25min of work with 5min breaks in-between, it works wonders) to ocntinue and suddenly I'm in the mood.
