I'm melting away my debts, engaged to an amazing woman, saving for a house and we're planning to have a couple kids once we get married. The key is balance. I still *do* manchild shit, it's just not my priority. When I get some down time I'll play some games, drink some beers and doomscroll for a bit, but only when I don't have prior obligations. Sometimes I make relaxing my priority and put off 'adult' shit to focus on my mental health too, you need to strike a balance.

Does it hurt that I'm nowhere near accomplishing the things I've wanted for over twenty years? Sure, it hurts a lot. But the life I've crafted outside my dreams is still one I can be proud of: successful career (albeit one that does not directly feed into my dream goals in life), loving wife, kids who make me happy, and a home for them all. I live my life knowing I have plenty of time to make up for the things I haven't done yet, because sitting in a ball and crying about my regrets seems like a waste of time.
