As an awkward shut in, how do I become more "confident" and "assertive" without coming off like a fag?

Confidence can only developed by experiencing success. Keep doing things and succeeding at them.

I would advise against trying to fake it. People can usually tell if you are pretending and they will have an even worse opinion of you which will degrade your self esteem further.

Gymmaxx and shoe inserts to appear more confident and then practice socializing to actually become more confident. Making a smile your resting face also helps.
