How can I believe in religion if I hate most religious people and feel way to skeptical about all the works that come with it? I believe in the existence of God but not all the random rituals that people swear is necessary

>>33842748the main benefits of religion are social ones. you need the temple for forming strong social bonds beyond family and to live in safety of unwritten rules (moral codex) that go beyond law, by excluding those who are not part of the temple. now for all the lore and philosophy about religion that you don't need a temple for, that will only be important when you are about to die, in case you have no psychologist or morphine at hand.
