How do I pivot to a different career? Right now I work a dead end job making under 50k writing scripts (SQL).

When I tell people about my job their eyes instantly glaze over. I'd like a job that is "cool" both to others and is interesting instead of a meaningless snoozefest. Also making at least 70k would be nice.

Get a devops job working at a video game company. The work itself won't change but everyone will think you're cool because you work in video games.

any advice on how to do that? Videogames industry seems really hard to break into

just be an architect, you get paid like shit until your 30s and then you get into the debt equivalent of a doctor after getting all the licensure in your state, then your family always brags about you despite you never being able to buy a home and getting as much salary as a mcdonalds worker
