How do you stop drinking WITHOUT doing a 12 step program?
>>
Disulfiram
>>
a good dose of hallucinogens can work but it comes with some risk
check out ibogain
and how some AA guys used to recommend LSD back in the day

You have to actually choose to stop. You’re not going to be able to backdoor your way into quitting. It has to be an active, definitive choice.

Literally this. You just stop. You stop telling yourself you need it and you decide to be someone who isn't a fucking loser anymore. Same with any other drug. Same with porn. Same with anything. You just have to stop being a faggot, accept the fact that withdrawal is going to suck, try to sleep through it, then get your life back together.

The love of a good woman or man
My bf takes my debit card and id when he goes to work and is helping me taper by only letting me have a certain number of beers a day or I just buy liquor and blackout
I asked him to do this. I'm hoping to get to the point where I don't need beer at all and can just live every day energetically. It was going well but I had a big injury and coped too much with alcohol so starting again recently
If single refer to hams.cc/taper a website guided to taper off alcohol. If you are scared of the link just google search it and you will see it's legit.

This person has not committed to quitting and is putting the responsibility for their sobriety on other people and making excuses which is a sure fire way to fall off the fucking wagon the moment something in your life goes wrong or that person breaks up with you. Do not listen to them. You have to make a DECISION to BE the person YOU want to BE. No excuses.

Peoples in alcoholics anon have sponsors my bf is my sponsor basically without the culty religion shit. It's not bad to ask for help when you feel powerless. Suffering alone is more shameful than asking for help in my opinion

Help is having a shoulder to lean on on a hard day. It is not being in a constant mental state that you WILL drink unless someone else stops you.

It's just a period of hardship I am making him do this for it's temporary. People pay thousands to live in sober living houses and get babysat the same way I'm extremely lucky to be able to do it for free. Have some perspective

I won't read drunkard threads. Nothing can be done by the anon readers.

yeahhh but a good dose is the minimal dose (microdosing acid)

its like how gingerale helps your tummy but only in small amounts.
its not really for 'fun' at that point because you are trying to counter your alcoholism. depending on how much you drink you may need to end up going to detox for alcohol just for your safety; acid will only counter cravings for alcohol. If your environment sucks you will still be depressed but lose a coping mechanism: find something to fill that gap with like gardening, videogames, studying (something fun ffs be curious), anime in another language (with subs on), music, anything anon

im being partially hypocritical because doing this did help me stop drinking but now I microdose weed/cigs

still a huge improvement and put several wrenches into the 'killing myself' plan so hopefully it does for you, too. not ideal but it'll fucking work and you'll wind up in the ER x1000 less. you may slip once or twice but you'll notice your improvement enough to forgive yourself and keep improving.

assuming you dont drink and drive so you wont get any brilliant ideas about smoking and driving but promise not to do that or start doing that and youll be fine.

take what i say with a grain of salt this is 4chan

This one helped me

It's less preachy and you can avoid the withdrawals. Once your off of it, you need a replacement drug to fall back to. The whole point is harm reduction, not completely sober. Like doing ketamine is still not the best, but way less harmful than drinking. >>33845423 this is also an alternative, but harder to do it yourself.

I quit cold turkey 4 years ago because I got arrested and spent the night in jail for public intoxication

you will quit drinking when you are ready to feel your emotions again

it will be horrible but you will get used to it

you will learn to love yourself again

My dad was an hardcore alcoholic for like 20 years. Around the time I turned 6, dude got fed up with life and just got drunk 24/7, almost over dosed a few times, got into a really bad car accident and lost his licence (only didn't got to jail because my country is a joke), etc.

A couple of years ago the dude just quit. Out of the blue, cold turkey. One day he was almost passing out drunk, then just stopped. Hasn't touched a sip of alcohol, at least according to him, in 2 years. I believe him, because I know when he drinks and when he doesn't, people who lived with hardcore alcoholics know what I'm saying.

Problem is: now he's a gambling addict kek

He wastes shit loads of money every week on gambling, but hey... At least he's not drunk.
