I have an unreasonable disdain for the rich.
When I think of rich people, my blood boils and I want to watch them suffer and die in agony.
When I see that a rich person has died in the news or online, it brings me joy.
Is this repairable?
>>
nothing wrong with that, just don't hate your next door neighbour because he can afford a better middle class car than you
>>
>unreasonable
>>
>>33848801
I know it's relatively normal to dislike the rich, but even when I tell my similarly lower-middle-class-upbringing friends how I feel, they are shocked at the depth of my contempt.
>>
>>33848796
I do not understand why you hate rich people. I think it is an underlying "they don't deserve it, they cheated people to obtain their wealth" thinking behind it. Some are like that, but many are not. Many rich people actually worked extremely hard. Think of small business owners who work 12-16h days for years on end to become millionaires. Also you can never not have a society where elites will form.
Also realize that hate is an expensive emotion. Do rich people deserve you investing them even more?
>>
>>33848808
you are not supposed to feel too much hatred because that makes you a source of danger. you are supposed to be a perfectly adjusted person bound by family and obligations. what were you expecting?
>>
>>33848823
>I do not understand why you hate rich people.
They have money and I don't, they enjoy life and have the means to get or do anything they want and I don't, they live happy lives void of any problems (because rich people literally cannot have problems, money solves them all) and I don't.
>Many rich people actually worked extremely hard.
"Many" is incredibly generous, but even those who did not inherit wealth while still being born into rich families have infinitely more advantage than those without a wealthy family.
>Also realize that hate is an expensive emotion.
I know this is psychology blah blah speak but it really takes no more energy for me to think "I wish that guy was dead" than it does for me to simply not think at all.

If that homeless dude is anything like the average homeless he's a drug-addicted piece of shit who causes crime and havoc wherever he goes. The chronically homeless are like that because they've burnt all bridges and refuse to interact with other in a positive way or take any control over their lives.
Meanwhile I've had rich dudes like that decide to just spontaneously pay for drinks or meals at businesses meeting I've had, because "you're just a kid getting started, don't worry about it"

>Some are like that, but many are not. Many rich people actually worked extremely hard. Think of small business owners who work 12-16h days for years on end to become millionaires.
Not the kind of rich people we're talking about, anon. That's materially justifiable wealth -- provide goods and services directly to people and be compensated for that. I resent people whose primary income stem from /not/ that. Landlords, C-suites at established companies, anyone who works on Wall St.
They fuck with people's lives to extract every last digit out of them. Deeply pathological behavior that reduces someone else to a number simply because they're Not You. John Doe with his four family-owned coffee shops is fine, and I thank him for his service to the community.
>>

so what if a dude worked into a few million dollars, bought a few houses/apts to rent, and now he's suddenly part of the 'system'?
Same goes for the cokehead jock wall street guy, or corporate lawyer. He does his job for which went to school for.

They don't, they care about how well their angel investment in me is doing. And that's fine, because I'm performing. Not my fault you decided to just work a gas station register instead of actually trying to do something with your life.

It's part of the ploy the Marxist tyrants want to run: :hate the people not the system, it's not fiat currency and Techno-Pharisee meddling, it's the rich! (whoever those are).
Because ultimately any Marxist system is going to be inferior and more intrusive to the system it's trying to replace. Instead of encouraging people to maximize autonomy, Marxists make their followers engage in perpetual class warfare to distract from any flaws (of which there are many) that pop up in their administration. Ironic considering all the rhetoric about "the rich keep us divided with racism and sexism" both of which are as natural to humans as breathing.

I actually have a good faith question for you
>C-suites at established companies
Ok, let's say this is a CEO at a company that makes something innocuous, like clothes or something. CEO of Levi Jeans.
Let's say this CEO is just doing his job, ensuring jeans get made and distributed to middle aged dads and teenage thots everywhere. Sure he's using factories in Thailand, but let's say the environmental practices are all on the up and up, and the wages being paid to the workers are fair for the area.
Without regarding the argument about global labor markets and domestic reshoring, is this CEO doing anything wrong? Is he inherently bad because he's rich and a CEO, even if his company isn't doing anything bad and he's making sure all the practices are above board and the proper value or compensation is being delivered to investors, workers, and customers alike?
>>
>>33849532
The more of that CEO exists, the more competitive the industry becomes, the more cruel methods are used to get even a slight edge over the competition.
a CEO like that would simply get outcompeted by a less kind/legal one, and would realistically understand this and adapt. The customers benefit but the workers suffer.
That is unless he innovates and provides something unique or objectively better that the competition does not. That's the only thing that can change the rules of the game and why capitalism is tolerated as a political force. It is a natural law that provides technological advancement. That's why "innovation" is a buzzword in the first place.
It is a very specific type of CEO that should be allowed to exist. A "mundane" one provides nothing of value, and is automatically outcompeted by the capitalistic system
>>
>>33849580

>>
>>33849580
>the more cruel methods are used to get even a slight edge over the competition
That's a false equivalency, becoming more effective as a business does not automatically require "cruel" practices. It could be as simple as switching accounting firms and saving on fees.
>That is unless he innovates and provides something unique or objectively better that the competition does not
You mean like the west has been doing for the past century? It's not 1870 anymore, we don't have sooty sweatshops with dangerous mills being manned by 12 year olds in the west (maybe in stinky India or Chinkland).
When Henry Ford introduced the first semi-automated assembly line, injuries went down, the time workers needed to spend in factories went down, but worker wages and quality of life went up. While some of this can be attributed to Ford's magnanimous nature, innovation definitely played a part.
>>33849606
>dipshit friend who hates anyone with money because he grew up poor
I grew up poor as well but I have a triple digit IQ and an optimistic outlook so instead of staying poor I made something of myself and started a business. Had no help from investors or family but this will be our fourth year in business and our second year of doing over $1M topline.
It really is only stupid lazy people who end up poor, but most of humanity is lazy and stupid so what do you expect.
>>
>>33849580
Forgot to mention one more point
>It is a very specific type of CEO that should be allowed to exist
Even if I accept that premise, you are the last person to make that judgement call, as an unproductive and bitter loser. You don't know anything about anything, and the reason why you've failed to break out of poverty is more than likely due to poor decision making on your part. No one pays you to do anything particularly valuable that would command high compensation, in fact I think you should be paid to shut up and stay as far away from me and the other productive people as possible.

My friends were getting Cs and praised by their parents for that while I was valedictorian and scored perfect on every AP/SAT I took and my biggest worry was seeing if my loser unemployed father had thrown my mother through a wall while I was at school.

No they don't. People can make a few million dollars on their labor or by having luck in where they bought a home, true. Those people don't deserve scorn. No one anywhere makes it to centimillionaire or billionaire without turning their back on God over and over
>>
>>33849505
>so what if a dude worked into a few million dollars, bought a few houses/apts to rent, and now he's suddenly part of the 'system'?
yes land lords are the worst. everyone needs a place to live and there's no new land being made.
>>
>>33849838
Ok so you admit that the worst thing that particular CEO in that example does is take advantage of the policies set in place by (((international regulatory bodies))) and (((free trade agreements)))? If the government comes along and says "well we're gonna make it impossible through a variety of factors for you to manufacture in this country," what can a person be expected to do about it?
I'm with you by the way, I think opening up the labor market to the entire globe was an atrocious mistake, but it wasn't like every CEO of every major company on the globe got together and said "Yes, let's screw over every American and Westerner by exporting labor to the third world where it's cheaper." (((International bankers))) who lobby and control governments did that.
>>
>>33849850
That line about "hate" is translated differently in the gospel of Matthew, in that one it's read
>he who puts father or mother ABOVE ME etc. etc.
In this context "hate" means more like "disdain" instead of the visceral seething I see you and other anons in this threat participating in. You're supposed to prioritize Jesus above all else is the point of the passage.
However, this does not mean you can't go about your earthly business. Jesus did tell rich men to sell their belongings and disdained avarice, but He didn't condemn the centurion for being in a powerful position, nor did he even condemn Caesar for collecting taxes. If you're wealthy as a consequence of building something great, and not the hoarding of wealth for it's own sake, Jesus would have nothing wrong with that as long as you put Him first.
>Prot prosperity gospel bullshit is satanic heresy. Turn away while you still can
