There’s a guy in my small class who made eye contact with me a lot on the first day, but not so much after that. A few days ago during an exam, my computer wasn’t working, so I had to sit next to him. He started a conversation, asking if I was ready. Later, when I had to switch seats, he whispered "good luck" and gave me a thumbs up. Then, when I needed paper, he offered me one or two pieces, which felt considerate instead of just giving me a piece. Later, I broke my pencil and was about to ask someone else for help, but he signaled me to see if I needed a pencil and even checked it worked before giving it to me. I’m not sure if he’s just being nice or if he might like me. What do you think?

For starters, are you a guy? If so, if he gives off gay vibes then you're in. If not, you're out. If you're a girl, I'd say start striking up conversations and move onto getting his phone number. If things go smoothly, that being you guys have some good chemistry, I'd say you're in.
