I wanna quit my job at the moment. I know the job market sucks ass, I just can't keep going. I just got put on a pip because they saw a video on my screen, when it was just a windows pop up I hadn't cleared. They said windows popups can't link to videos, wrote me up and since I got wrote up, I'm on a pip. Meaning, no raise or yearly bonus next year. 2nd year in a row those have been denied to me. I've been trying to be a good employee, doing my job, and it's been total silence until they catch me doing something wrong. Every mistake notice, every success ignored. I don't want a trophy or a party, just a fucking thank you is enough. Just a "You're on the right track"But what's the point in quitting? All jobs are like this. What's the point in trying if your efforts are ignored? I've brought them up, and they find some fault in it.

>>33868419they never are. the only way to really transcend this system is to start your own business which takes a lot of work and could end in financial ruin. the drudgery of your typical job does bring a little bit of stability with a steady paycheck and maybe some benefits like insurance. when you're on your own you're on your own.if you do look for other jobs, try to find something with a short commute. it's a lot more tolerable when you don't spend another 1-2 hours every day just getting there and back.
I get I need to realize that I never will be good enough and that I'm stupid. I don't understand how people just accept it though. How do people go years without encouragement?

They want you to quit but don't want to pay unemployment. Don't give them the satisfaction. Do the bare justifiable minimum and force their hand.
Next morning, back at work. Stomach in knots, basically walking on egg shells. If they can accuse me of something, call me a liar, they can blame me for something another employee did. There is no future at this company for me.
