As a millennial, born in 1993, I'm wondering when society turned into shit. Nothing but a bunch of incels, extreme feminists, mysogynistic assholes, "woke" people, and wierdos. What happened to all of the normal people??

I grew up watching stuff like South Park and Dave Chappelle, where everyone would laugh at the jokes and no one took anything seriously. I grew up listening to rock/metal and hiphop - even musicians and music artists weren't divided like now. When did people become SO sensitive? When did everyone become so divided, what happened to the middle ground? Why is everything so overly political now?

Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions.

I'm know people have been asking just that for generations, but I truly believe the millennial generation was the last decent generation.

Be thankful you weren't drafted for the vietnam war. Total bullshit that lasted for 10 years. Were things really better before??

Things really took a downturn after 9/11 and the "patriot act". That's when things got seriously, overtly orwellian. The government basically started treating the entire population like cattle. Constant pat downs. Drown strikes on citizens overseas. Guantanamo bay and torturing.

People fail to understand that after booms, come busts. After a "baby boom", comes a "baby bust". That is normal. But retard economists can't understand this.

But the real question is, when did this board turn into pol???

This. It's impossible to not have an opinion with the amount of information we all have access to. Everybody wants to be right and nobody is willing to be wrong.

Occupy Wallstreet scared the financial class so deeply that they literally pushed identity politics to disrupt and divide everyone who wasn’t a multi millionaire or billionaire. Seriously, there’s a graph I can’t currently find on my phone that measures the increase in identity politics terms in media and right at the tail end of Occupy Wallstreet it shoots up like a rocket. Occupy Wallstreet was the first time since the thirties that basically everyone who wasn’t ruling class rich was on the same page about controlling banks and the uber wealthy. It scared them so much that they had to set us upon ourselves. That’s also when smartphones and phone based social media really took off, and the result is the mess you have now.

Humans are destined to deplete earth's resources and destroy most inhabitable areas in the process.

The specifics (politics, the exact moment of the industrial age etc) are irrelevant in the grand scheme. All the things that we see unfold are a natural process and had to happen. There are likely many planets like ours that (in past, present or future) bloom and die with the first intelligent species like ours.

Don't overthink it and just focus on your own business.

You talked about not getting offended over jokes and then about millennials.
I am a millennial too and it's us. Not me specifically but all the other millennials suck and they absolutely get offended over everything, because we've been taught to be nice since childhood.
But the niceness keeps getting pushed. And it has gotten to the point of not being able to make jokes.

It's absolutely and 100% millenials fault

Welp, the mask is off for women and society in general. No one with half a brain wants to participate in this malfunctioning society. Just to be a part of it? Hell nah
