A few years ago, I was in a car accident that left me with a lot of insurance money. I used that money to quit my job and take a really long vacation. I was gone for 4 years.

For 4 years, I was in my house. I never left the house except once a month to get groceries. But during that time, I basically had no human interaction with anyone. I would spend days, weeks at a time, just in my house alone, and out in my backyard.

In that 4 years, I had spent more time alone than in my entire 40 year life combined.

It was kind of liberating not having to deal with people. It really loved the way I was free to just enjoy nature in my backyard and not have to go to work and deal with people.

Am I crazy for wanting to experience that again?

I have to work now and I'm surrounded by people almost 24/7 and it's driving me insane.

Is it healthy to want that life again?
>>
It's not crazy to want that again. But isolating so much can be dangerous. It's also possible you may get used to people again after a while, not having been around them for long may mean you need some time to adjust. If you could deal with more people gradually it could feel less jarring.
>>
Sounds like my dream. I don’t blame you for wanting it back.

No, I hate being around people. I hate it with a every fiber of my being. It was so peaceful being alone. It's like I tasted the forbidden fruit.

I now want to become a millionaire or something so I can buy a huge property and just live alone with a woman, just me and her, away from society.

Yes!

I see and it makes sense. Maybe you can find a solitary job. Good luck, I hope you can find your peace again.

Look into nomad living. Those people live just as you described every day.
>>
>>33881457
I'm jealous, because I would do exactly the same thing, but prolonged isolation makes me insane.

>but prolonged isolation makes me insane.
The opposite. It keeps me sane. lol.

>>33881930
God, I want her to be my wife.
>>
Oy you be alright mate
>>
>>33881930
The nomad life seems like it more forces you out into the open more than isolated. Like you end up at camp sites with people and going out for everything because all the space you have is a tiny van.
I think OP should get a remote work from home job and that would solve his problem.

> you end up at camp sites with people

You don’t visit campsites. That’s camping, which is the complete opposite of nomad living. With nomad living, you go to random places on federal land where there are no other people around for miles.

If you manage your resources well, you only have to go into town every 2 weeks.

Are you doing this actively or making assumptions?

Go to YouTube and look at the videos in Bob Wells’ channel, Cheap RV Living. There are countless interviews with people who have been doing this for years. 60 year old grannies are doing this as we speak.

It seems that bears mostly just bother you if you have food laying around. They don’t attack unless provoked.

People do nomad living all year round. If the bears were such a problem, they would have stopped doing it a long time ago. There are plenty of YouTube videos and articles on the internet that show you how to deal with bears.

Are you that motherfucker that communicates by posting random women pics?
>>
>>33884901
Yep
>>
>>33884851
ok so making assumptions. I have seen all that youtube shit. I can do laundry without being around people at home. Car homeless people cannot.
>>
>>33884883
Why am I looking at this big breasted woman?
>>
>>33889073
Because you're a man? And men are disgusting pigs?

Not crazy at all.
Do work that doesn't occupy your mind and you'll have the most of this time while still in a job - you'll at least be alone with *your* thoughts when you're off the job. Ideally, also most of the time while on the job.
This is the real way to minimize time spent working for money alone, minimize the time spent thinking about it and everything need for it.
It may pay off to invest some of your free time on finding out what you need to spend money on, what you can miss, and where you have to adjust the amount spent.
>>
(Un-immerse from work and other people, so to say.)
>>
>>33881748
>huge property
That just means dealing with more people, get a smol property way out there. Cheaper too.

The only way to be even more alone than nomad living is to have a very large sum of money. I would say you would need at least a few million in the US even in the cheapest areas. If you have that kind of money, then go ahead and do it. I’m just trying to give you a reasonable alternative since you are posting here and working some job you hate so you probably don’t have that kind of money.

I’m not antisocial but I do like nature and being away from crowded places so I will probably be living in my vehicle when I retire. By then, I should have more than enough money to do it.

>>33891606
Motherfucker can you stop with the women pics? I didn't come to /adv/ to get a boner, bitch.
>>
>>33884592
I did it for a while on foot. It was ok but I was younger then. I could do twenty or thirty miles in a day if I needed to. You always eventually get a ride. Or you die somewhere in the Mojave.
>>
>>33891512
But I want a nice big ass mansion with a big ass pool and ass. Lots of ass.
