I have a bad habit of telling my friends everything. I'm trying to be more private. How can I remind myself not to tell stuff? And which stuff should I always keep to myself? Which stuff is fine to share?

The stuff that could be used against you, didn't tell your mother that?

Also in society, you RESPECT others.
Sometimes, respect, being kind, is not telling them what you really think of them.
You just keep your own opinions sometimes because, being nice is wise and respectful.
If someone is more ugly, weak, fat, lazy, retarded than you, telling them so will hurt them and you, so it's a loss-loss. You can't change others, or the world, so what's the point?
Change yourself instead, and let your deeds speak for itself.

Do not even worry about it. Never hide your intentions. Nobody’s paying attention anyway and then they cannot accuse you of deception.

I think everyone eventually forgives or forgets if you change and time passes, and honesty helps you learn faster.

By having just one person to tell things to. Now, it’s not as simple as just picking one arbitrarily, but have one person to tell things to, be it a family member or friend.
