I'm 22 years old and I don't know what the fuck to study for in college, please help

Just look up a list of jobs and sort by highest starting salary, and choose accordingly.
>>
Arent there classes for this kind of things? DANG, just research a little bit more ig.
>>
Why is it so hard to find your place in the world? Like seriously?

Become an airline pilot
>being broke isnt a valid reason

You're 22, chill the fuck out
College is a MASSIVE scam and a complete waste of time and money anon
Find out what you're actually interested in first before you even think about college or you'll be in mega deep shit
Take your time, don't listen to boomer fucks who say if you don't go to college you won't be successful
They're totally out of touch with reality and still think things are how they were when they were growing up
They aren't
You'll figure it out anon, I thought I never would.
Even if you don't, that's ok too

Im 23, and I have passed for a similar situation at your age. I would advise you to take a vocational guidance it really helps. Just find your vocation, what are you good at?

>Just find your vocation, what are you good at?
I'm good at videogames, even then it depends on what game. I can truly say that I enjoy working with my fingers, fixing and messing with stuff like machines and tech like phones and computers. I don't like coding though, it's too much for my brain to handle.

Dig on yourself, what was your thing as a child? your dream? I like to think we all have a predesigned vocation, a sort of "calling". What calls you? Or had call you..

Maybe Mechanical engineering or Industrial design can be options

In theory you should be a technician of some kind
However, in reality, every career except wiping demented boomer asses in nursing homes, sewing up bleeding illegals in the ICU, and autistic high tech niches is fucking gutted. Especially technicians.
People who don't work in the trades, or are so driven, charismatic, and well-connected they'd succeed in anything in life but they chose the trades, will tell you to become a tradie. These people are niggers.
Research jobs that seem cool to you that also legitimately pay well, read the job descriptions for them, and work to check off the boxes so you caj get that job one day. 99 times out of 100 it will involve getting a degree in a hard major.

Try mechanics anon
Cars will always be around, and good quality mechanics who actually care are such a rarity
Even if you *think* you might not be good at something, just try it and see
Had a buddy who decided he wanted to give welding a try, he wasn't so sure during his schooling but I reassured him "you might find it's one of those things you're just naturally good at"
And when it came time to perform he instantly became top of his class.
Turns out he naturally had an expert hand. His instructors didn't believe he had never welded before, he now makes a damn good living and companies literally fight over him with offers just to work for them

Just try things anon, you never know. Don't be afraid of failure my friend
The only time you ever truly fail, is if you give up
I believe in you!

Thank you bros. I'm on google now researching and writing down a bunch of careers that seems cool/interesting! Cheers!

Being a mechanic in 2025 is a fucking nightmare, that's a really reckless recommendation. Maybe working for some boomer's body shop where the clientele just bring in pre-10's beaters that are actually repairable, assuming the boomer in question isn't a total kike.

dont listen to this retard. SEVERAL highly respectable and high-compensation fields are entirely inaccessible without an education in stem. It simply is true.

Open indeed or some job portal or job fair website and check the job market.
Young people have really weird idea about employability of certain degrees.
>>
mate, if you don't move you'll be hit by the train

I made the same mistake of not committing to a field of study and got kicked out of college

This can help:

There is almost NO correlation between college major and ultimate profession

Only about 25% of grads wind up working in even the same broad field as their college studies. The others use the "soft skills" (writing, researching, analysis, etc) they developed in their studies to adapt to the needs of a seemingly unrelated job.

An English major who can analyse poetry can analyse sales figures. A history major who can research Napoleon can research zoning regulations. Someone who sat in seminar classes and not just large lecture halls can brainstorm advertising campaigns. Anyone who can write a term paper can write anything.

Look around you at all the recent grads in Computer Science. There is NO subject that guarantees employment and none that makes you unemployable.

Choosing a studying field suppose you know what profession you want to do once you'll graduate. Unless you've been well advised by your relatives who know you since you were a child it's difficult especially at 22.
you can do personality tests or see a coach, but what i suggest instead is the following :
Take a step back and reflect on your ACTIONS : what are you doing with your free time? Then reflect, what do you FEEL when you do what you do? Do you like it? Does it push you in a flow state? Does it fulfill something in you? Be mindful of what others say about you, whatever you're doing (even when you're idle) : does it relate with some of the things you were told when you were younger?
As you proceed, a lot of things you buried will resurface : not always in a pleasing manner, but the older you are, the harder it gets and the longer it takes. After a while you'll have enough puzzle parts to distinguish an image that suits you. Note that by the time you'll graduate, this image will change, in fact it's ever changing, but it's also part of the process : you also need to "fail" in order to adapt and find your next big goal (at that time you'll ask yourself "What did change in me?").
For this to work you'll need to quit socials, vidya, porn, etc because they make you numb. Instead ask yourself WHY you're attracted to those things (shadow work). You'll also have to DO things instead, be it going outside, meeting people, trying new activities, etc otherwise you'll stay in the mental plane and won't progress.
