With someone who knows what they have gotten into, it's easy.
Some people are blind to the flaws until they eventually clock them and get the ick. It's pretty retarded.
Bitches can be with a nigga for 5 years and then clock a flaw and lose all attraction, and then it's a downward spiral, lol.

From my experience I get a real kick out of the chase but get a bit over it once it's established that we're committed to one another.
Proceed with a few months of low energy as I feel like I can't be fucked and would probably be happier as a single man.
Throw in a fair amount of self loathing as I feel like an asshole for stringing a nice girl along and clearly putting her through emotional turmoil.
Eventually ego gives me a kick in the ass as the girl starts withdrawing and they get the ick as I desperately try to salvage what I spent months fucking up.

Optimally, there isn't even a "honeymoon phase" in the first place because all that amounts to is both people projecting their idea of perfection onto the other instead of seeing each-other for who they truly are. This "phase" ending is simply people realizing the truth and beginning to see it. So how about just not doing that in the first place?
