I’m really nervous and scared. I have to take a very long plane ride on top of it. Apparently they do the most extensive background checks ever. Even my friend got a call from them talking about me

That level of background check is pretty common. My friend’s brother-in-law got the whole fbi investigative check on him for applying to a software engineer job for a company that just does work for the gov.
