I don't mean that the stories are fake, or that people are simply making things up. A vast majority of the posts and videos you will find online now are completely fabricated by LLMs and generative text/picture/video programs. Until governments decide to ban this shit or the economic realities of these platforms backed by huge data centers stop being available for free/peanuts, it will flood every single website you post on. If you fall for any of it, or willingly permit yourself to be deceived for amusement, you are actively damaging your critical thinking, your reasoning, and your soul/sanity. Please stop falling for it.
Pic unrel.

The advertisers are soon going to stop paying for ads that only LLMs and bots see.
It'll be dotcom crash 2.0
On the bright side once there's no more ads, there will be no more ad blockers needed.

How do I know your post is real?

I won't read diatribes on an advice board. Work with it.

Yeah the Internet died around 2012.

Obviously as soon as any sort of text generation was a thing, you had fake content. I differentiate “fake” as in made-up from “fake” as in “completely generated by a non-human program.”

I’ve always thought digital advertising was sort of propped up so it’ll be interesting to see if it’s actually abandoned.
>>33899037
You cannot, really, beyond trying to develop a sense of what is and isn’t generated bullshit. Having a proper immune system for generated shit will inevitably be a trait with strong fitness in the information ecosystem we have now.

It’s not a diatribe. It’s advice. Half the threads on here reek of being fake, both in being fictitious and in potentially being generated. Retards here fall for agitprop about battles of the sexes, race wars, and social anxiety all the god damn time. Lift your head from the trough and talk shit again, but remember what you’ll be eating again soon.

The internet “died” in the early 2010s in the same way it “died” when eternal September began; the enclosure of the commons and the invasion of normies happened in waves. But as for being “dead” in the sense of a vast majority of content being wholly and completely made by non-humans, this is a more novel situation. They don’t even need to pay Indians and Montenegrins 50 cents an hour to shit out ESL banner ads and social media rants. Now they just have a few GPUs whir in a data plant all day to do it.

yes, this is true. its all bots.
