They can be pretty easy to get along with and very loyal if you show them kindness, but there's a deep-seated victim complex to contend with there so your results may vary. It's preferable to walk away from a situation with a percieved loss of reputation with a fleeting NPC than to potentially fuck your life up by doing/receiving damage over meaningless knucklehead shit. Truthfully it's very relative to your situation. If you live in a rough area - a loss of reputation could make you prey. If you aren't able to back your own mouth - you may catch a beating you could've avoided by bitching out. If do lay someone out - you could catch charges/time and if you've got anything worth losing it won't have been worth it.I've known violent young men. Their life is all short-term. You don't wanna get into situations with people who don't care about consequence. They'll take it further than you expect for a lot less.For me the golden rule of the streets is to conduct yourself self-respect and respect for others. The occasional tactical use of deference or a submissive gesture in body / language can defuse a lot if you have a hard look about you. But truthfully I think this kind of thing is difficult to fake. There was enough seriousness in my upbringing to develop this naturally without training it. Also some situations are simply unnavoidable. Don't mix in the circles these types of people are hanging around. Anyways here's a quick story; just recently I used to have this young (19, I'm 27), scrawny, short (5'4"), balding, insecure, self hating (cuts himself), substance abusing, vietnamese coworker hate on me hard at my current job, all because his work crush flirted with me and she would always scold him for not doing his job right and just being a generally lazy moron who couldn't even sweep a floor right, and also because she rejected his advances (she was tall and white). Despite him being weaker and shorter, he still kept picking on me, not that I'd hold back, but one day he was drinking on the job, and verbally harassed me for a good 3 minutes shouting the most heinous shit obviously trying to hurt my feelings, I just laughed and said "at least I'm not balding at 19 fucking loser" and he lost it and started shouting and escalating the altercation, and even after I told him that if he didn't shut his mouth I'd drag him outside and beat his ass his response was "Yeah cus that's all you can do!" and continued throwing insults my way, despite knowing that I could have easily beaten his ass. With some guys, you just can't win, and this guy was a genuine 90 IQ level retard. Would go on long rants about how he was going to be a millionaire, have a hot blonde wife, etc. etc. meanwhile his personal life is absolute dumpster fire. I came close to beating his ass but this guy is his own worst enemy, I expect to hear about him either killing himself, overdosing, or dying in a drunken accident.
