For the past 5 days I have been experiencing extreme weakness whenever I do stuff like walk up a simple flight of stairs. It feels like I just ran a 10K marathon. Heavy breathing and sweating and heart racing. It's like I suddenly became a 95 year old man that needs a walker. But I'm 40.Would it be overkill for me to call 911 for this?
>>33943999Doctors do not care bro. They're just collecting their paychecks. Unless you are dying in front of them they won't do shit and they may not even then.
>>33944000Wait what? But this is a problem I have. What if this leads me to fave a heart attack two weeks from now?
>>33943999Ignore >>33944000This fag and see a doctor. What does your diet look like. Are you eating heavy meals frequently?
>>33944027I want to see a doctor, I just cant decide whether this is a 911 thing or something I should call a hospital for and schedule an appointment, which will probably be 3 weeks away.My diet consist of the same thing I always eat for the past year, lots of water, veggies, chicken, eggs, bread, and other stuff a long those lines.
sounds like anemia, go to the hospital right now
>>33944084So it's an emergency and I should call 911?
>>33943999There are several possibilities for this, most of them really really bad. Get thee to a doctor.
>>33944202So it's an emergency and I should call 911 then?
>>33943999This is 100% something you see a doctor for and soon.My neighbor, who is 60, would have problems with his heart racing for 3 years. Turned out almost all 4 of his major arteries were blocked. They out a stint in the worst one and said he had to have open heart surgery for the other three. He shopped around for a couple doctors and found one to put stints in the other three and now he is doing fine. The screwed up part is even he had gone to the doctor several times complaining of these problems, multiple doctors couldn't identify what was a very basic and common problem. They didn't solve it until he actually had a heart attack. >>33944000So this guy is wrong any not getting treatment, but he is right about many medical professionals being incompetent or not giving a shit. You need to be an active participant in your own treatment. Write what is going on with you into chatgpt and explore what it could be and what tests you might need. Doctors perform much better when prompted, instead of just saying "I'm tired"
>>33944067Same anon here.If you are 40, you are probably fine to just set up a visit for a few weeks. Look at it this way, if you do have a heart attack it will probably be a mild one and they will be forced to do something.ER is usually more of a patch job.I will give you an example. I broke my foot and saw my GP. They took X-rays, (which they sent to a hospital to confirm a break) wrapped my foot, and gave me a boot. Then they set up an appointment with a specialist. (Who did absolutely nothing but tell me more about the type of break it was, no cast or anything)This is the exact same thing they would do at an ER. As a compromise you could go to an urgent care clinic.
>>33944270Yeah, I'm calling the clinic first thing tomorrow morning.
>>33943999You OK?
>>33948468We'll see
>>33943999>>33948468OP here. They admitted me into the hospital. Turns out I had multiple blood clots in my lungs. That's why I was short of breath. I'm being treated for them right now. And will be on blood thinners for the next six months.
>>33952996Jeeeez. Glad you got it checked out anon. What caused the clots? Do u smoke or somethin?
eat a meat heavy animal based diet (diary lots of red muscle meat and liver and eggs and slamon and diary.)some oranges here and there. cook with butter and beef tallow onlycut out all vegetable pils and vegetables in general as they are pretty muxh dead nutrient wise and only have pesticides. if you do this. you will feel like a 18 year old within a month op. also get outside more take some walks some light jogs sunbathe
>>33953085No, I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. They have no idea what caused them, but they going to try to find out over the next few days while I'm here. They already did the thing where they put wires into my neck to try and break up the clots. They're gonna see how I respond and if I'll need another form of the clot breaking procedure. Cause they told me they're gonna try more than one type depending on how old my clots are and shit.
>>33953085>What caused the clots?Vaxxed.
>>33953176They did the thing where they place wires through my neck and into my lungs. Then I was blood thinners in my IV. If that didn't do it, they'll try again through my groin...
>>33954170I'm doing better now and can walk around, so they're not going to do the groin thing. However, they still don't know what caused it, so there's a good chance I'm going to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life.
>>33953191I am not vaxxed, so that's not it.
Anon, that sounds like cancer.
>>33956585Well they've done a shit ton of tests on me and drawn a million viles of blood and cancer has been ruled out.
>>33955510They've got a specialist that's going to look at my blood over the next month to try and figure out if there's some hidden condition that caused the clots. They said my clots were pretty huge and serious.
>>33957855Well, I'm being discharged now. Looks like the plan is for me to be taking Eliquis for the rest of my gay life.
>>33959062On behalf of all of us who have followed this story, let me express our happiness that you got good care and things are looking up,And as one who takes Eliquis, let me assure you it is no particular burden or inconvenience, and far better than the alternative

>>33959062Don't. Just eat properly and stop smoking/taking drugs.
>>33961653
>>33961653>broke your bones? just eat properly >internal bleeding? just eat properly >cancer? just eat properly kek
>>33961506>it is no particular burden or inconvenience, and far better than the alternativeI think it's just the shock of realizing that you're not immortal anymore and that your life is now in the hands of these pills. These pills are fucking expensive though. $800 bucks for 50 pills.
>>33963044Ooops. I made the mistake of forgetting you are probably in the USA. Anywhere else in the entire world medicine would be free or have a $10 co-pay at most.
>>33963766Well, I'm fucking dirt poor and practically homeless, so I have Medicaid, and the docs told me that Medicaid covers Eliquis. Plus this is a christian hospital so, again, since I'm dirt poor, their financial aid department is taking care of it.I was worried, after reading reddit for people's experiences with eliquis, that I might have low libido and erectile dysfunction. But praise jesus and hail satan, I was able to masturbate this morning. As long as my penis works, I am fucking happy. And that's all I really care about (I'm joking but you get it). No, seriously, I love my penis.
>>33963044>$800 bucks for 50 pills. You know, I can't help but think that there is a very easy formula to make a blood thinner, using everyday household ingredients, but Big Pharma doesn't want you to know that cause they need their profits.

>>33944270>ER is usually more of a patch job.Well, the clinic doc did send me to the ER. Then the ER docs did the CT scan and ultrasound of my chest, and were like, yeah my guy, your ass is getting admitted into the ICU today. Congratulations! You've got bilateral pulmonary embolisms, acute deep vein thrombosis, heart strain, and transaminitis!
>>33968471Were you properly vaccinated, I must know?
>>33968475No, I never got a covid vaccine. I never got covid. They swabbed my nose twice now, and I've tested negative.
>>33968473Dang. I wonder why all the clots. Must be something. I would worry more about how to prevent. They shoot you up with heparin or something forever.
>>33968479Let it be dawg.
>>33968480They don't know. They asked me if I sit on my ass all day, I said no, and that I do walk around and go outside and work and stuff. They asked if I had any family history of blood clots, and I replied not that I know of. So they ruled the clots as unprovoked.Yeah, while I was in the ICU, they put wires through my neck to get at the clots, then they had me on a Heparin drip through that same hole in my neck for a few hours. If that didn't weaken the clots like they wanted, the next step was to do the wire thing again but through my groin. Yeah, thankfully... they didn't need to do that, so they then later transitioned to having the Heparin drip go through the IV in my arm for some more hours. They did have to remove the wires from my chest though. Lol, that hurt like hell, each time the nurse had to press on my neck as she pulled them out. Holy shit. Still sore, even right now, my neck. She was on one side and the doctor was on the otherside, asking me what my favorite TV shows were in order to distract me from the pain. Then later they, transitioned me off the Heparin drip, to taking Eliquis pills. And I'm still on the pills right now. 4 pills a day for the next 5 days, the 26th, then 2 pills a day for the rest of my life.
>>33968480I have followup appointments with the PCP doctor, nice cute lady, very friendly, and the hematologist. They took a shit ton of blood out of me. Enough to fill a truck. I guess by then they might figure out if I have a condition or something. But the plan is to have me on blood thinners for life.
>>33943999Its thw New Moon, that affected your internal fluids/libido
>>33968544Good that you got rid of most of that blood. Consider thinking for yourself in conjunction with their plans. I had some surgery that didn’t go well and they told me to take buttloads of cortisol forever bit i just took half as much as the following day until not at all and I am alive years later when they said it would be instant death. I had also been getting injections for years and the one thing gave me the idea for the other and I stopped the injections and feel better for a couple years. The system is rigged and everyone is in cahoots to put is in a cycle of dependency.
>>33968567Well, the blood they took was for them to run tests to figure out the cause and that will take a while. The clots are still in my lungs, it's just that now, they'll let the pills do the rest of the work.I tried to convince them of other stuff I did in the past 3 months that might have created the clot but they shot all those down and are still firm on me being on blood thinners for life.
>>33968587Yeah, my doctors yelled at and threatened to drop my coverage when I decided to stop those expensive injections. Can’t live with em, can’t live without em. I am happy to still have you. Good luck with it, friend.
>>33968592Dang, dude, it's like you killed their wife or something.
>>33968676Big Pharma don't play around.
>>33970494Do they break your legs if you don't comply?
>>33972759I'm not sure but you really don't wanna mess around and find out
>>33968592>I am happy to still have you.Happy to have you too.OP here. On the 21st, I coughed up some blood, and got scared and went back to the hospital emergency department.I didn't cough more blood beyond that, so they did one more CT scan and Xray and took some of my blood to make sure I was okay.I seemed stable so they didn't think I needed to be admitted again, but I did tell them that since I was discharged on the 20th, my nose was running like an open faucet, and I was having fevers like crazy. The CT scan they took showed sign of a "disease air pocket" in my left lung that they think is pneumonia. So I guess I've got some pneumonia to deal with. I'm guessing I got it cause my lungs were weak or something.
>>33975616And every CT scan gives you a lovely dose of radiation.
>>33978141I mean, I'm sure a couple of them wouldn't hurt. But like don't have a buffet of scans or anything.
>>33975616OP again, and now I'm experiencing a tiny bit of lightheadedness and slight numbness in my fingers. Pins and needles. This is all very weird.
>>33979498Been going on for 12 hours now. I think this warrants a visit to the doctor again.
>>33979498Getting deoxygented perhaps due to your lung damage? How did it go?
>>33956585LOL where did you get your medical degree, the back of a cereal box LOL.
>>33981064I dunno, I'm in the hospital right now getting checked out
>>33981559how u feeling now OP?
>>33981064>>33981788Well, I went, they did another CT scan of my brain, cause if you're on blood thinners, always that possibility of internal bleeding. But, they saw everything was fine. They made me do a hand eye coordination test, made me move my legs to my knees and foot, had me get up and walk around the room, and I passed those. So they sent me home with a pill of meclizine. Apparently I had some "peripheral vertigo" and noted in my discharge instructions that it might also be something with my central nervous system. Not much else they could do, not a serious concern.I guess these are things I can really only talk to my PCP about. They were really only concerned I make that appointment with my hematologist, and I did. I see them both next week. When I say they, I mean just the one ER doc.I didn't get answers as to why the heck I got vertigo in the first place, or why my fingers went sorta numb for a couple hours. But, I guess those are only things my PCP and hematologist will be able to answer.I sorta feel stupid. I came to the ER last week coughing up blood, they took a scan of my lungs and drew my blood, and were like, nah you're good. Now I'm here again, with the dizzines vertigo, they took a scan of my brain and drew my blood, and they're like, nah you're good.I really hope this doesn't happen again, cause the nurses are starting to remember me, "hey weren't you here the other day?" I don't want to be treated like someone who is abusing the system. At least this time, I took the bus and walked my ass there myself instead of an ambulance ride.Although, I must say, this hospital uses the Epic MyChart system, that I guess all hospitals in the world use now. And I saw in their notes that they actually noted down everything I said happened to me. Every detail, even the time I said the dizziness started.
>>33981469University of Phoenix
>>33984583Well here we go again, I'm having another spell of dizziness with the room spinning around.
>>33987087I'm wondering if this is a side effect of the drugs, but I won't know for sure till I see the doctors next week.
>>33987087Okay, I'm feeling better now. But I feel this will happen again. I still feel it lurking in the background.
>>33988154It's strange. It's almost like I was hallucinating. Like I would be staring at an object, and a couple seconds later my eyes would drift to the side without my knowledge. It's a good thing I'm not driving a car. Holy shit.
>>33990154Since I started taking the Eliquis, my body feels like it's swimming in a pool of this chemical. Everything I eat tastes like this chemical residue has been left on it.
>>33984583You are not abusing the system. The system is meant to send you home without taking responsibility for anything. You and/or the government are not paying for “I don’t know.”
>>33991770>The system is meant to send you home without taking responsibility for anything. What do you mean?
>>33991647Maybe it's the radiation from the CT scans and that "contrast" stuff they put in my IV when they're doing it. I've had like 5 of those scans since last week.
>>33993071I will say this though. I'm actually able to lift things and do chores around the house again without feeling exhausted. Cause before last week, doing those same chores would have me feel like I just ran a marathon.
>>33991647I've been taking Eliquis for 5 years with no side effectsPart of what is happening to you is that you are monitoring every little tic and getting paranoid about meaningless things. That staring at things effect a few posts back is 100% totally normal - the result of your eyes slightly crossing due to the eye strain of staringYou've reached the point of looking for things to be scared by.
I hate to say this, because it's OP's real life, but this epic is beginning to get a little boring.
>>33994719Don't minimize my symptoms dude. There's a whole subreddit of people on eliquis who have side effects. Not everybody responds to drugs the same way.And the dizziness and lightheadedness was definitely real. I couldn't stand without having to hold on to a wall. I felt like vomiting. This lasted for hours. I had to stay in bed cause of the nausea. This happened twice now. Twice.>That staring at things effect a few posts back is 100% totally normal - the result of your eyes slightly crossing due to the eye strain of staringOh fuck off. Fuck the hell right off. In the 39 years I have been alive my eyes have never done that. The room was spinning, I couldn't stand or move without losing my balance, and my stomach was ready to vomit, this was legit vertigo.Do not fucking sit there and dismiss my symptoms just cause you've never had any issues. Fuck off.
>>33995221Well, lol, I hate to say this, cause it's my thread. But if you're bored of my thread, get the fuck off. No one's forcing you to read it. There's plenty of other threads up right now you can read. It's that simple, get the fuck off.

By your own admission - 33964389 - you're working the system so none of this is costing you anything, so why are you going on about prices?
>>33999626Of course they did. That’s why I already spoke of them telling me the same line. >>33968567 here. I(I happen to be a drunk for somewhat related reasons.) Your blood condition is making you retarded. Just say no, unless you decide for yourself. Do not be shepherded for profit.

>>34004013Most of my cousins would but you gotta let me know how it goes, in great detail. You have my blessing, Anon.
>>34004015lol alright
>>34004035Well, alright I saw the doctor. Not my pcp that was on my case during my stay at the ICU, cause they're on vacation till February, but a different doctor. They said my dizziness is nothing to basically worry about. He didn't have an idea why they happened. And since they're not happening anymore, I shouldn't worry.Another doctor came in and said all my blood work they took from my time in the ICU have come in. I do not have any of the conditions that would cause me to have a clot. No cancer, no factor this, or factor that, no mutations, no nothing. Plus I'm young at 39. He basically said that there's basically no need to be on thinners for the rest of my life, and I can decide after 6 months whether or not I should stay on them or not. Also said that the hematologist will basically say the same thing when I see them next week.So it will basically be my choice.
>>33943999I started feeling like that at 22 and it never went awayI hoped I was dying but no it's been 10 years

>>34018731>do you live in housing with second hand smoke? any vapelords near you?Nope, I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I stay the hell away from people that do.
>>34018731>Anyways hope ya get your problems solved with as few issues along the way.Oh, I'm doing awesome right now. My lungs are great, my heart is good. I can walk and work without a problem. So they said I just need to stay on the thinners for six months then they'll let me decide if I want to stay on them or not.Of course I'm not staying.
and the beat goes on.....
It is not fun dealing with this nausea dizziness and nystagmus. It's still going on even as I'm typing this. This has to be a side effect of the drugs. Damn doctors keep gaslighting me or they're clueless as to the side effects.
>>34019857The only solution I have that seems to keep this under control is drinking a lot of water when it happens. Six glasses worth. This I had to read off of reddit, cause this is a common side effect of Eliquis, according to these reddit users. Why the hell didn't the doctors tell me this? I don't fucking get it. Even when I point blank asked them, is this because of the Eliquis, they were like ummmm ummmm ummmmmmmmmmm I dunno duuurrrrr.

She just wanted to get in and get the fuck out as fast as possible.
>>34028955She basically only saw me for 5 minutes then had my blood drawn for some test. Then said to come back after six months. Same with the PCP, they also scheduled me for six months. Like why am I seeing both of them for? And when I mentioned that, she was like oh you're supposed to see your PCP anyway. It feels like this is all a system designed to keep you coming back so they can milk your insurance for profit.

He said my cholesterol is a bit high and to cut back on the fatty shit.Told him that his epley maneuver thing didn't work for me and that what actually worked to get rid of the nausea and dizziness was drinking more water than I regularly do. Then he said well then if that's the case then your dizziness was not your inner ear, you were just dehydrated.I asked him if all the blood they drew from me while I was in the ICU dehydrated me. He said, not really. I then point blank asked him if Eliquis causes dehydration as one of the sude effects. He said no, that is not a side effect. So I was just dehydrated for no reason. Never had any problems with dizziness before coming to the hospital couple weeks ago. And it's not related to the Eliquis. Nope not at all.lol man these doctors are something else man. >>34043556Probably, I dunno. I always just go to my local pharmacy.

I've read stories of people who've had unprovoked PEs. The doctors gave them the option to go off the blood thinners after 6 months. Then maybe a year later, they had another DVT and PE.
Holy shit, today my vertigo came back and it was quite strong. This time it didn't go away after drinking water. And I drank a lot of water today. My veins felt like they were under pressure. I was weak at one point. My arms were shaking. It felt like I was on heroin or something. This lasted for about 15 hours. It just went down in the last hour or so. My veins feel like they've been relieved of that pressure. They feel sore. Who fucking knows, maybe all this is cause the clots are still inside my lungs doing weird shit to my veins or arteries.Anyway, I think this warrants a visit to the emergency department. I'll go first thing in the morning.
>>34050382Fuck it. They're probably gonna tell me I'm fine. I'll just wait till I have a stroke or at least some internal bleeding.
>>34052911Nah, I'll still go. It won't hurt.
>>33952996I hope you get better soon, Anon
