The quickest way to be miserable is to believe you can bullshit your way through life, because some rich asshole did, and then beat yourself up because it didn't work for you. Be a hard worker working while these rich pricks sleep, and trust me, some day you'll be where they are at.

Unless you unironically think EVERYONE gets what they deserve(they don't) this is a retarded take
There are millions of hard workers on every continent that are dirt poor and suffering, are you going to tell me that they're actually not hard working at all?

Yes everyone should work hard but don't lie and pretend everything will always work out

My statement, while immature to the experience, has footing in it. As look at your situation now, and tell me if you really have the strength to do something about it. Stop looking at starving children in Middle Eastern War Torn countries and now look at yourself. You are on a gaming computer with probably an Intel CPU and expensive graphics card, you're probably 25-50 pounds overweight, and yet you are refusing to do something about your life except sit with it.

True anon, I'm gifted, but I ain't no millionaire.

Anon, I'd much rather you be the guy who proved to the entitled self-help guy that you took all his advice literally and been better than him proving he is a fraud. In fact, fucking prove me out to be a fraud doing that. Get off your chair and do something. PROVE ME WRONG BY ACTION. Show me that you are doing something. Make me out as the lazy douche.

Fortunately or unfortunately for you my life is great, work/finances/relationships
Sure I worked little hard, but did I bust my back and sacrifice a lot and face a tone of mental/emotional turmoil and anxiety for the future?
No, I got lucky in not only my education and job being easy but also having dead relative who left behind a lot of money
My gf of 7 is pregnant and I'm thinking of getting married after the kid is born
I'm not a super massive multi millionaire or anything either, but I can retire now if I wanted to and live comfortably taking care of my future family

I look to other people and other countries to point towards the fact that "just work hard" is an empty platitude
Ideally you work smart, not hard because the majority of success is built more on factors that aren't hard work, like luck or who you know
Most hard workers don't succeed and that's just fact

You can point at lazy losers who never try and say whatever you want disparaging them, and it will be accurate, but don't confuse that for them working hard means guaranteed success on their part
And by success I don't mean being rich, I mean success in their own subjective beliefs

cars have windows and they can go fast, but houses also have windows but can't usually move

there must be something influencing this besides windows

Without sounding like I'm coping I think even as a brokie like me who's single no kids you can still live a well disciplined meaningful life. But absolutely I'm working on financial stuff. I realise I gotta move out of my town and state altogether to get a career in my field I studied.

And my boss is another self made man type of guy I earned a lot of his respect but I don't really wanna be a kiss ass and try to advance in the company or whatever I'd rather have my own company or a higher paid career. Even though I enjoy my job. I get to meet a lot of women and people and so forth but it's not worth that alone.
