Has anybody here successfully freed themselves from phone addiction? How did you do it? One idea I had was leaving my phone at home, but that has its obvious disadvantages.
commit to a few phone-free days where you use it only for work purposes and nothing elseit breaks the habit which makes it easier to keep your usage light afterwards
>>33953193I've never been addicted to my smartphone because I use it mainly (but not all that often) use just as a phone. Even then, I don't usually answer the thing when it rings. It's just a tool I hardly use, not my master.
try turning on greyscale so it's not as colorful and flashy. or if you're on iOS (im sure android has something similar, but its been a few years), turn on the screen time limits or have a focus mode with most notifications disabled.
