How the fuck do random people start discord servers where they get like thousands of people for no reason.

I have some pretty good ideas (IMO at least) for stuff to make in a server based around collecting user activity data via the discord API and using it to group/link users together but mainly just need people to join

any server that wants to get big is already doomed because you don't care about the community, you just want more
make a good server, let it grow organically
maybe put an add on 4chan and post it in the discord thread on soc, I've seen a few servers go from zero to 400 ppl in a few weeks only by doing that
