Is it me or are people becoming increasingly pessimistic these days? Being kind and accepting won’t get you anywhere, you’re just going to get used in the end. Overlooked. But when you show overt negative qualities, you just attract everyone like flies. Is positivity just an old-fashioned concept now?
Short form content has radicalized everybody into being hair pin triggers. Those qualiltys are objectively good, if you value quantity over qualilty then by all means enjoy your peasant groupies flocking all around the bummer leader. It's always better to be alone than wishing you were, so I'll stick to higher qualilty connections based off higher levels of humanity
>>33992696unfortunately. imagine world this will make
>>33992696It seems that way to me, yeah. Things are changing, and have been for a while. But that's how it's always been, right? You get older, you fall out of touch, you get nostalgic for the way things used to be, and left behind by the way things will be. It seems sad and scary to me that society has been so radically altered by proliferation of social media, and now we're pouring AI slop on top of that. But maybe gen alpha and beta won't see it that way? Maybe they'll adapt and thrive in a world that looks totally schizo to us. Who knows.
>>33992696I guess, OP but you can always look back and say that things are different. Look to the future and you will see the same.
>>33992696>Being kind and accepting won’t get you anywhereWhy, where are you going where you feel the need to justify cruelty? You should decouple "being a good person" from "being a doormat"
>>33992696Everyone seems more on edge with the fucked economy.from my perspective
>>33992696>But when you show overt negative qualities, you just attract everyone like flies.Wrong, it's charisma that attracts people. You can argue that the tolerance for negative qualities has increased while the attention economy means people are more and more drawn to charismatic individuals who can give them dopamine.
Short form content, social media, attention economy, these characterise the ages we're living in. Being kind is associated with longevity and investment/commitment, whereas what's thriving are brief shallow spurts of hey made you look but ultimately nothing, some transient thing promising something but leaving you empty-handed
>>33992696Don't blame me. I voted for her
People are waking up to the fact that the future is gone, we're all nothing but cattle to billionaires to do what they want to us and we accept it because one day we could be billionaires as well and get to enjoy that complete god mode life style. money, drugs, sex and just indulging in anything you want with no consequence is the stuff everyone dreams of.
